A sudden noise made the little creatures of the night flee away among the trees. The swishing sound continued to shatter the eerie silence within the woods.
Running, it's panting heavily and puffing ragged breaths into the cold air. Turning and sprinting with no proper direction. One wrong step caused its right foot to earn a gash from a sharp tip of a trunk. It fell to the ground and unwillingly let out a cry of pain.
As fast as it fell, it immediately tried to stand but failing miserably with a wincing pain. This time it muffled its scream and bit its lips hard instead. It was enough to draw some liquid from its lower lip.
Faintly whimpers covered the area as it tries to maneuver itself but it was really hopeless in the moment. The poor thing seemed to give up as it sobbed and cuddled its knees together. Maybe regretting what it did that ended with this situation.
Body aching and right foot bleeding in the middle of nowhere under the glow of the moonlight was something this poor girl wasn't hoping to happen as she went out some hours ago.
The human tried to steady her breathing and to gain enough strength to stand. She inhaled and grabbed unto a trunk to push herself up. Successfully, she managed a little bit painful because of her injury.
Leaning for support on trees, she tries to find her way out of the maze-like forest.
Recognizing a glimpse of flashing lights that might come from cars, she tried to walk faster. But her hand slipped and she lost her balance. A thud echoed as she collided with the hard ground. She bit her lip as she muffled her cries.
"Do you need a hand ?" A voice startled her. It was a familiar one.
Shivers run down her spine. She clutched her shirt tighter as she holds her tears. She prayed and begged internally that someone would come and see them. Or Save her.
As she desperately stare at the flashing lights that she was now sure are cars passing by she heard a chuckle.
"This is it, you know. Game over" The intruder stated grazing the girl's golden locks.
"Please.. " Her voice broke as she begged and cried. This can't be happening to her right now. Not now.
She felt the intruder gripped her neck and raise her before trapping her on a tree. She felt the air pushed out of her lungs before the grip loosen.
Catching her breath, she stared at the one before her. Her attacker smirked maliciously and she glared with the power of a thousand daggers. She would never forget those cold orbs.
The unknown intruder inched closer and inhaled the girls scent before a muffled scream rang absently to the dark woods.
The devil left a kiss of death to the lifeless beauty…
