THEN

Marinette's P.O.V.

I remember back then there was a little boy that was always shorter than me. He looked pretty awkward with his height, messy blonde hair, and big green eyes, not to mention the bright blue band-aid on his cheek. Everyday we played and everyday I teased him about his height.

One day while playing house I was the mom and he wanted to be the dad. I wouldn't let him because when people are married the husband is taller. I was going to ask Nino to be the dad but Alya looked like she was about to cry. Behind me, Adrien kept yelling that we could still be married even though he was shorter than me.

"No, we can't silly. The dad is always taller."

"So if I grow taller than you like this, you'll marry me right?" he said while trying to hold his hand way above my head.

"How 'bout we see if the time actually comes shortie?" I was smug because at this rate he would never be taller than me.

"Alright! You'll see! And then we'll be married in house AND real life" he yelled and started running back to his house.

"Wait! Bro where are you going?" Nino yelled.

"I need to drink some milk" Adrien screamed before he slammed his back door shut. Nino facepalmed so I think that was another one of Adrien's anime references.

NOW

That was years ago and we haven't kept in touch, but I never forgot about that short boy. I still talk to Alya and Nino but I'm not sure if they even remember him.

"OMG girl you have to check this out!" Alya screamed before practically crashing into me.

"What are you so excited about this time?" I started to giggle as Alya balanced herself.

"He's back. Ya know? That kid from before" Alya tried to explain between pants.

"Okay, okay. Calm down. Who's back?" I put my hands on her shoulders gently to get some answers. Instead of talking she pulled me around the street corner. What I saw from this distance caused my jaw to hit the ground. There was a boy with beautiful golden blonde hair, striking green eyes, and wearing a very hot outfit. He was wearing a pair of ripped blue jeans to complement a white tee-shirt, on top of that he wore a light jacket. Nino was standing next to him and waved us over.

"Hey dudettes, do you remember this guy?" The really cute guy looked me up and down as the corners of his lips pulled up into a smirk. Damn he was tall. He approached me until there was almost no space between us and hovered his hand a few inches above my head, while slouching and still being taller.

"Do you see me now?" As a blush rose to my cheeks only one word was going through my head…

Adrien.

~Extended ending~

"Dude that milk actually does make you taller!"

"Nino, way to ruin the moment!"
