"ALBUS POTTER" Cried Mrs. McGonagall.

Albus emerged from a group and about 70, and headed for the Sorting Hat. Albus' heart was racing; he couldn't think straight, all he was thinking about is what would happen to him if he got placed in Slytherin. He sat on the wooden stool and made himself comfortable, just waiting for McGonagall to place the hat on his nervous head. Once the hat had been placed, all he could say was,

"Please, not Slytherin!"

The hat replied by saying "Heard that before haven't we? Best be Gryffindor!"

Albus' heart jumped, he bounced off of the stool and ran to the Gryffindor table. Albus' friend; Frederic Jones, had already been placed in Gryffindor, and cheered Albus on as he made his way over. Once Albus got there, he whispered to Frederic;

"My dad was right; the hat does take choices into account..."

Frederic looked unusually shocked. Albus then realised that Frederic was looking and the entrance door to the hall, Filch was wondering outside, looking worried and extremely angry. Frederic and Albus just couldn't help themselves; they had to find out what was going on. They both agreed to sneak underneath the table, and crawl their way to the door, dodging all the robes and feet on their way.

"NOW!" whispered Albus.

Frederic and Albus dropped underneath the table and began their journey...half way there, a little girl bobbed underneath the table.

"What on earth are you two doing under here? Just wait until McGonagall hears about this!"

"NO! Please don't tell! We saw Filch escape looking angry and worried! We just want to know what's happening!"

"Hmmm... I suppose I could let you off... but you will have to take me with you!"

"Fine, but don't make it obvious!"

They didn't speak at all until they got to the entrance of the Great Hall. They stood up and Albus asked the girl for her name.

"Molly Parkinson, what about you to then?"

"I'm Albus, and this is Frederic."

Once the three got to know each other they all opened the door, quietly, and started to head outside. It was pitch black and nothing was to be seen. They started to move forward, just wondering what was around the corner...
