FOREWORD
This is my AITE application. It will seem like a story, but it implies the reasons that I want to go to AITE while using my creative writing skills. I write this type of story regularly, and I want to show you my creative mind. Some of the characters in this short story are from the TV show "South Park", which is the type of stuff that I write. Also, some of the characters are characters from people that have reviewed my stories. Enjoy, as this is a short story, not a boring essay.
END OF THE CENTURY
I walked up to the school, looking at it. South Park Middle School. It looked so weird since Chelsea had burned it down a month ago. It was under construction, but I wouldn't be there to see it finished, since I was moving on to high school in less than a month. It was almost the end of my 8th grade year, and I was kind of happy, but kind of sad at the same time. I was happy that I was going to such a culturally diverse place like AITE, but I was sad that only a few friends would go with me. AITE is a very well built place in the middle of South Park that promotes creativity, technology, and math skill. That's part why I wanted to go there. It has long class periods and only 4 classes a day. It was sure to help me with my organizing skills, because I'm the most disorganized person in the world.
"Hey, Vean." a familiar voice said. I turned around and saw Reese, one of my best friends.
"Hi, Reese. What school are you going to?" I asked her.
"AITE. Where are you going?" She asked me.
"AITE, to. Let me guess. Ozzy's going to AITE, too." I said, probably right. Ozzy is another one of my best friends. Ozzy isn't his full name, his full name is Ozymandias, but who wants to say Ozymandias?
"Yup." I heard his voice from behind me "Don't tell me you're in AITE too!" He said, sarcastically.
"I can't wait until we get there." said a drowsy Lulu from behind me. She's #4 of our little group. The only one left is Kenny, and I don't know how he could get in, but my gut says he did.
"I know, it's gonna be a big change, carrying around a laptop instead of bigass textbooks." said Kenny from behind Lulu.
"Lemme guess, you're in, too?" I said to Kenny, knowing the answer.
"Yup, now I can think about what I have to say instead of just making up what I have to say on the spot." Ozzy said.
"What about debating?" Reese said.
There was an awkward silence.
"Come on, nobody cares about debating? Well, I do!" Reese said.
