Author's Note: Hm, I need to get back into my old poem-writing moods... Anyhow, enjoy :D
Also, thanks very much to everyone who Favourited, Followed or read 'Somewhere Only We Knew' ^.^
It's now re-posted in its complete one-shot version (was originally going to make it five chapters)
Step forward, or back,
Step up, or aside –
I found it hard to find my place.
We tread now quickly together,
But now not side-by-side.
At what point in time
Did this turn into a race?
Blame pours down in icy waves,
The colder rain
After fiery storms.
This will be where
I'll force you back down
To let me step forward,
To keep you warm.
With your many strides up,
Mine are to come forward,
And they're secretly steps aside.
But who would move back
To mind us both,
To watch whether our footings
Really match, not collide?
But despite the painful pace
Of this battering dance,
That causes our madness
To ensue,
I'd found my feet,
And not by chance:
I really just want to walk home with you.
