Land of Fire, last year of the 4th Great Shinobi War
Rain poured from the skies, impacting the scarred and ravaged earth like tears from the heavens. The landscape was barely recognizable, swathed in a sea of corpses whose blood collected in craters to form bloody lakes, where grisly piles of gore that once were human beings floated like macabre plants. In the midst of this destruction stood two men, whose hands and eyes were bathed in the blood of thousands. They were the last of the ill-fated Uchiha clan; the fans that fed the flames of destruction, and the masterminds of a hundred tragedies. Sasuke and Madara Uchiha, the lords of the red dawn. Yet now, two would become one, and the cycle of destruction would continue. The Uchiha would once more be absorbed by the tree of konoha, and they would wait. It might take years; even decades for it to come to fruition, but eventually the tree of konoha would be immolated from within, and from the ashes the Uchiha phoenix would climb, in all its terrible glory.
Land of Fire, 2 years later (at around lunchtime)
Tsunade glared at the mountains of paperwork that lay before her. If she didn't know better, she could have sworn they were breeding when her back was turned, intending to someday rise up and devour here like some kind of horror movie style sludge monster. Wearily she shook her head, and focused her gaze back on the paper before her. Another mission request by some self important noble who thought that he was important enough to warrant shinobi as guards as he traveled to some meeting or other… well, she did have shinobi to spare for this idiotic noble. Ever since the Uchiha had returned from his rampage of murder and revenge, bringing with him hundreds of missing-nin who had served him during the fourth great shinobi war, konoha's might had increased a hundred fold, making them (an in turn land the land of fire) the strongest power on the globe (of course since she still didn't trust the Uchiha, or his Hawk organization, she used the new nin sparingly, meaning that in truth konoha was probably 50 percent stronger than It had been). Of course this also made them, the most hated, but that was the price of power...
Returning her gaze to the mission request, she began to think who she could send, until she was interrupted by a rather loud, rather close screech. Leaping to her feet, kunai in hand, she faced a startling large bird (or at least that's what she thought it was), with pitch black feathers and large gold eyes. She stared at. It stared back. Relaxing her guard ever so little, she noticed the scroll that hung from its leg. Darting forward she tore the scroll from the bird's leg, and wrenched it open. Her eyes darted down the rows of kanji, taking only two seconds to read the entire thing. The scroll fell from her hands with a muffled thud as it hit the carpet. "SHIZUNE!" she roared, her eyes bulging. The afore named aide hurled herself into the room not a moment later. Before she had a chance to speak Tsunade ordered her to send messenger hawks to Sunagakure, Iwagakure, Kumogakure, and Kirigakure. So, the connection to the wizarding world had been reestablished... She needed a drink... no, make that a lot of drinks.
