AN: Written for the Great Maze challenge on the Harry Potter Fanfiction Challenges forum. My prompt was "Write about Hermione showing something to her friends. One of them is impressed, but the others aren't."
Everyone was wet.
"You know," said Ginny, shivering slightly, "I really don't think we're going to find a restaurant. Maybe we should just call it a night."
"What? No!" protested Harry.
"Harry, it's pouring," said Hermione.
"Yeah, and it's freezing," said Ron.
The four of them had planning a special get-together at their favorite restaurant for several weeks. Unfortunately, none of them had thought to check the hours, and upon arriving, they had discovered that it was closed. Since then, they had been wandering the streets in the rain, searching for somewhere else to go. Unfortunately, there was nothing to be found.
"I have an idea!" said Harry. "Why don't we just go back to my place and hang out?"
"Because your place is a total mess," said Ginny, playfully shoving his arm.
Suddenly, Hermione remembered something. "Let's go to my apartment!" she exclaimed. "There's something I want to show you."
"Anything to get out of the rain," said Ron. "Let's go."
They pulled out their wands and disapparated.
A moment later, they appeared in Hermione's cozy kitchen. Hermione grabbed some towels and the four of them attempted to dry themselves off.
"Hey, what is it you wanted to show us, Hermione?" said Ginny, as she dried out her hair.
Hermione grinned. "Oh, that! Come here."
Intrigued, they followed her into the living room, watching as she pulled a large cardboard box. They crowded around it as she pulled off the lid.
Inside was a huge assortment of Disney movies.
"Oh, wow!" exclaimed Harry. "Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon never let me watch any of these! The Little Mermaid, the Lion King… this is so cool!"
Ginny and Ron stared down at the box, confusion written all over their faces.
"That's supposed to be a mermaid?" said Ginny.
"What's with all the smiling animals?" said Ron.
"Why is that girl so pale?" said Ginny, pointing at Snow White.
"Muggles actually like these?" said Ron, picking up Beauty and the Beast.
"Guys!" said Hermione. "Stop ruining my childhood!"
"We have to watch these!" said Harry. "Come on, guys. This is a serious part of childhood that I missed."
"Yes!" exclaimed Hermione. "I'll go make popcorn. Harry, set up the movie."
"Which one should we watch first?" said Harry eagerly.
"Cinderella," said Hermione. "It's a classic."
"Awesome," said Harry, digging through the box to find it. "This is going to be so great!"
Ginny and Ron just shook their heads.
