A/N:My twin sister called me last night and told me about the douche bag that she calls her crush. He's such an ass. She has a broken heart right now and if you're reading my story because she asked you too, please go back to her profile and try to cheer her up. Please? Hers is freiheit89, also known as Rina.
Anyway, this is my first story, written from an idea Rina herself gave me, so have fun.

Prologue

Savanna's POV

A low growl sounded in the woods. I snapped my head towards the sound and took the fighting stance. I had never fought before, my superior told me I was one of the rare and gentle types, and didn't want to now but I knew that the life of my best friend depended on it.

A dark shape emerged from the thick foliage. It was a totally black wolf, small compared to other wolves, but built enough to probably put up a good fight. It sent a shocking glare through me then watched my best friend wither in pain in the blood soaked grass. I tried to stand my ground but the look that crossed the wolf's face after seeing my friend, a look that seemed to say "Hey, I'm happy she's going to die," made me leap and attack it.

My fangs I went straight for the neck, as training taught me to, and I bit down hard. I could smell that it was male now, and he yelped. He tried to claw his way out but I had a tight grip. I pinned him to the ground and he started whining. Then, the transformation happened. The black wolf went from animal to human. I knew it was loup-garou, a werewolf, like me and our kind changed, willingly or not, when we were defeated. The naked human was about in his early twenties with black short hair, and tattoos all over his body. I gasped and growled when he looked at me as he got up from the ground. I knew who this was.

"You little bitch." He looked at my friend and grinned with distaste. "I hope she dies." and then he ran back into the bushes.

I sighed, still in wolf form, and layed down beside my thankfully still-breathing friend. The poor girl wouldn't have had a chance with out me.
