A Mate's Cry (A Inuyasha Fan Fiction And The Fifth Story In The Full Moon's Spell Series.)
A/N: Ok So Here Is Where A Mate's Care Left Off.
" Come on Inuyasha I need to talk to you.
The two of them walked to a nearby river and sat down under a tree, then Kagome spoke to him.
" Inuyasha listen I love you but I think it would be best if we just went back to my time until the pup is born. I know you would prefer to stay here but I really think it would be better if we went back to my time."
Inuyasha looked at Kagome and spoke to her softly.
" It's ok Kagome if you feel that would be best we will go to your time. When will you get it in that head of yours that I love you and no matter where we go I'm ok with it as long as it's with you."
Kagome looked at him with loving eyes.
"Thanks love, oh you look tired why don't you rest for a bit."
Kagome said as she leaned back on the tree behind her and kissed him and then softly pulled his head down to her lap. And as Inuyasha began to fall asleep Kagome whispered to him.
"My poor mate so exhausted you worked so hard these past few days taking care of me and seeing to all my needs. I love you so much and so will our pup. You just rest now my mate now I shall watch over you."
Inuyasha then lifted his head and kissed his mate and fell to sleep with the sun set in his mate's care.

Inuyasha woke up still laying on his mate's lap he smiled when he saw that she had fallen asleep herself. He slowly got up on his knees and nuzzled Kagome's neck and took in the sent of her hair. This woke her up.
"Good morning Inuyasha."
Kagome said. Inuyasha lifted his head to look into her eyes.
"Good morning my mate."
Inuyasha said as he kissed Kagome. Kagome then hugged Inuyasha.
" Inuyasha I think I'm going to take a quick bath in the river."
Kagome said.
"Ok I'll be right here."
Inuyasha said.
Kagome looked at him and smiled.
"Relax Inuyasha no one is going to try and hurt me. If I need you I'll call for you go up in a tree and enjoy the sunrise or something, I'll be fine."
Kagome said and then lovingly kissed her mate. Inuyasha didn't like the idea of leaving Kagome alone but did as she asked at the risk of being sat by her out or aggravation. Inuyasha fell back to sleep in a nearby tree. He was woken up by the sound of screams and his name being called.
"Inuyasha… Inuyasha!"
He knew who it was right away.
"Kagome!"
Inuyasha shouted as he ran to the river. When he got there he drew his sword as fast as he could. Koga had Kagome on the ground and pined down. Kagome was badly beaten. This only made Inuyasha angrier.
"Koga! Get away from her!"
Inuyasha yelled in hate,he ran to Koga and before Koga could react Inuyasha had cut hie head from his sholders. Inuyasha then locked over at Kagome and ran over to her she was so badly hurt that she was hanging on to life by a thread. She was crying and was bleeding from to many places to count. She in spite of her pain reached for Inuyasha.
"It's ok Kagome I'm here just relax as much as you can. God I love you Kagome just keep hanging on I'm going to try to heal some of these wounds."
Kagome struggled to speak but got out the one question that was on her mind.
"The…pup…is …is it all right?"
"It is love but how I'll never know."
Inuyasha said softly before kissing her just as softly as his words were. He then began to lick her many wounds.
"Thank God."
Kagome said hoarsely before passing out in Inuyasha's arms.
