"If you're here to say you're sorry, Sam, don't, okay?"
Instead of screaming for him to 'get the hell out', the little one is finally fast asleep dreaming dreams of a normal child (at least for now), I make sure he doesn't push his way into my life once again.
(bringing reminders of 'daddy' who left before the first month was up)
"Jo, please, just let me in. I-I want to meet my nephew."
I should have slammed the door the moment I found out it was him, and trust me if it was Dean freaking Winchester I would have, so those eyes of his wouldn't be working their magic on me.
"Fine, but you can't stay very long. Castiel is on his way here and trust me he won't be very happy when he sees you here."
('Joanna, do you think smiting them is a little too harsh? Because I don't')
"Thank you so much, Jo."
I picked up the sleepy boy, who may have gotten Sam's patience and 'puppy dog eyes', and placed him in his Uncle's open arms.
Rather then crying like he did when every a stranger came into his life, or when a demon came dangerously close taking the both of us, a smile filled his small face.
(those smiles that were usually saved for Castiel, his angel, and his mother)
"My god, Jo, he looks just like you. And he has Dean's eyes."
If Dean had the balls to show his face around here, so I can once again punch him in the kisser (rife ready to aim below the belt), I would want him to see Billy in all of his cuteness.
(and that he would never be like his father in anyway, at least not a goddamn hunter)
"I know, let's just hope that's all he got from him."
I let them stay like that for a while, two similar grins across their faces and never-ending dimples, then took Billy back into my arms.
(not wanting to give anyone the chance to take away the only thing left in my life)
"Joanna, are you and William alright?"
Cas's hands, which were clearly yearning to take Billy into his arms (and I would always find my way into them as well), fell on my shoulders as he glared holes though Sam.
(if it had been he-who-shall-not-be-named he would have third degree burns)
"Everything is fine, Cas, Sam just wanted to meet Billy and now he's leaving, right?"
His hands took ahold of mine, knowing how hard this was for me, warming them and the other had a good hold on Billy.
(and would forever be there like the guardian angel he is)
"Yeah, thank you, Jo, maybe I could come and see him again?"
"Of course, just don't bring Dean with you."
"Yes, please do not, Sam, I have sworn to end him and it would be quite a mess."
I wouldn't put is past him, and he would make sure both Billy and me were not there to watch the whole thing.
(even if I'd die to be there)
"Trust me, Cas, he won't know a thing."
"Now may I have the small one, mother?"
Billy as always was trying as hard he can to get to Cas, hell the both us wanted to be in those warm arms of his.
"Here you go, he's been dying to go to you anyway, and never call me mother ever again, got that, Mr. Angel?"
"Yes, and I like Cas quite more then Mr. Angel and I believe young William agrees."
As I placed Billy in his open arms, the little guy was exploding with happiness, I gave him a quick kiss on the lips.
(a perfect little family in every way)
"I bet he does, Cas."
