"I have a lot of great cards...maybe I'll sign up this year," Baxter says to himself. "Besides, I want to win 1 of the Ultimate Cards."

THE NEXT DAY...

Baxter enters the tournament room. A man greets him, "welcome. Are you here for Kuruma's tournament?"

"Yeah, I'm going to sign up this year," Baxter replies.

"Alright, sign up on this list." The man hands Baxter the list. Baxter signs "Baxter Williams" on the list. The man takes the list, "the tournament begins next week, and remember, there's a 50 card limit."

"That works out great," Baxter says, "I have exactly 50 cards!"

"Good luck!" Baxter leaves.

LATER THAT DAY...

Baxter is playing a game of Duel Monsters with his friend, Warren. Baxter manages to summon a Blue-Eyes White Dragon and, because Warren has no monsters, Spell or Trap cards on the field, Baxter was able to attack directly.

"And with that attack," Baxter exclaims, "you're down to 3000 Life Points!"

"Hey, all you have on the field is the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. I could draw a Dark Hole card next turn, then it's all over," Warren replies.

"Yeah, but if you don't...you're done. Your turn." Warren draws.

"I'm screwed...and I end my turn." Baxter draws, "Blue-Eyes White Dragon, attack directly!" Warren lost.

"You lost!" Baxter exclaims.

"Well, if you would've just given me a chance--"

"Don't throw me that "if you just gave me a chance" crap. Luck was clearly not on your side today."

"I know..."

"Hey, are you signing up for Kuruma's tournament?"

"Kuruma? Kuruma Ogasari? Wasn't he that guy that got jailed 7 times for murder?"

"Him? I don't think so..." Baxter pauses, "well, are you gonna sign up? The prize is 1 free Ultimate Card."

"Ultimate Card? What's that?"

"Are you serious? You don't know what an Ultimate Card is? They're 4 cards, basically 1 for each level from 1-4, Ultimate Lv. 1, Ultimate Lv. 2, Ultimate Lv. 3 and Ultimate Lv. 4. They have low ATK and low DEF, but when they attack another monster on the field, their ATK becomes 10,000, so they've basically won the duel if an opponent has a face-up monster with an ATK of 2000 or less."

"Hmm...yeah, I guess I'll enter."

"Sweet..."

NEXT WEEK...

Baxter and Warren enter the tournament room.
