A/N:I notice a lot of people have been writing stories on here about how pokemon feel about being captured and it absolutely breaks my heart to hear them say that it's slavery, because I don't feel that way at all. Here is a small poem for my trainer and her pokemon.

Pokémon are the way of this world

If you have some, people look up to you and respect you

but if you have none, people think you're weak

That makes me want to shriek

My Pokemon and I make a great team

We work together to make each other happy

This isn't too sappy

I love to see them every day

Love to watch them play

When they get hurt I treat their wounds with love and care,

Making sure they know I am there and I care

When we win battles I am absolutely thrilled

Because my friends have come a long way

Some may find them to be tools

Others may call us fools

But I believe that pokemon are my friends and equals

I am ready to do anything for my friends, human or pokemon

If it weren't for my dearest companion, the first one I found

I may have never stuck around

Just because they aren't human doesn't mean that they can't feel

They are my friends and our bond is real

No one can take that away from us

You are all reliant on me to survive

It's a scary feeling to hold so much power

In fact, it makes me cower

When I see those who mistreat their Pokémon, I am appalled.

When they say Pokémon are weapons and not friends, I am horrified

You have always been there for me, my friends

Thank you so much, my Pokémon
