I got inspired by FeathersMcStrange's The Road So Far, (it's a Supernatural fic, you should check it out. :)) And decided to do this thing... :)

Thor tries so hard not to think about or acknowledge the way the adoration in Loki's eyes fades to pain and desperation. Thor tries not to think about the way Loki ceases to look at him with awe, he tries not to think about the way Loki just… stops. The way Loki's eyes explode with anger or resentment that slowly cools to an unending desperation. Thor tries to ignore the way his brother just wants to belong like he does, just wants to be adored like he is. Thor tries to ignore how he's the only one who adores his little brother.
