Just a random drabble thing that I felt like doing. My first fan fiction, actually!
Inspired by the PoT Crack Pairing Generator XD
I think I'll post my collection of drabbles here as many chapters, all unrelated to each other (unless maybe specified? o.0), or should I post them as individual stories?
Reviews are loved; just don't be too heavy on the critique/ flames. It puts me off of writing. However, I don't mind if you correct me!
This be unbeta'd. And I know I'm weird for writing this. Italicized words mean that it happened in the past. I don't own Prince of Tennis, although 128 episodes are in my possession, along with some other miscellaneous things :3
…Just so you know XD
Gift Giving
Coach Ryuuzaki was waiting just outside the gate of Seishun Gakuen, getting a little bit impatient. Her eyes every now and then glance at the huge clock situated on the wall of the well-known school, and then back to her watch, even though they both serve the same purpose.
The previous day she received an anonymous letter while she was monitoring the regulars' practice session.
"Oh? Who's this from?"
"He requested me to not tell."
Coach Ryuuzaki gave Ryoma a weird glance, who only shrugged back at her, arms tucked behind his head. She proceeded to open and read the letter:
To coach
Ryuuzaki,
Please meet me outside of Seigaku's gates right around
5 PM. I would like to give you something as a token of admiration
from me :)
"Hmm."
She looked down both sides of the road and she saw no one. It was getting a bit dark now, she noticed, even though it was only 5:10 PM. Maybe she'll wait another 5 minutes. And if he doesn't come by then, well…that's his problem for not keeping his end of the deal.
"Sorry to make you wait, Coach Ryuuzaki, desu!"
"…ah?"
She recognized that voice, even though it may be far off in the distance. A young boy with tousled-looking blue hair, no taller than Ryoma suddenly came dashing by, the bag he is carrying practically flying behind him like a kite. He accidentally ran past Coach Ryuuzaki due to his enthusiastic running.
Backtracking, he paused in front of Coach Ryuuzaki to catch his breath. Hands placed on bent knees, his green headband slipped over his eyes. He stood up straight while adjusting it, and looked straight into Ryuuzaki eyes with a grin on his face, although still panting a little.
Ryuuzaki raised an eyebrow. Of all people that could possibly show up, it was Dan Taichi that did. What does this boy want with her? It's not like he attends the Seigaku tennis club, and wants a word with his coach about today's practice session. They didn't know each other well enough to be counted as friends either.
She waited.
"Thank goodness I made it on time…I had a bit of trouble along the way by accidentally stepping in the gutter."
"At least you made it here alive." Ryuuzaki chuckled.
He smiled, reached into his bag and pulled out a wrapped gift. He presented it to her with his face set.
"Coach Ryuuzaki, thanks to your coaching, I am able to have such strong and wonderful opponents like Echizen, desu! Of course, the other regulars on the team are strong too. Seigaku is awe-inspiring and serves as a great motivator to me. It makes me want to strive to be the best, desu! I won't loose when it comes to competing with Seigaku, especially Echizen, desu!"
Gift given, he bowed at a 90 degree angle.
"Thanks again, desu!"
He disappeared as suddenly as he came.
She was a bit dazed by how fast the boy came and went, but discarded the thought when she saw the present in her hands.
"Heh…what an odd boy." Shaking her head and smiling to herself, she wondered what's inside this neatly wrapped gift as she headed home.
A/N: Ahaha…I know that Dan's speech was a bit cheesy, oh well…XD
Thanks for reading!
