A short little quick Cosmo and Wanda story. The idea came from an Iron Man fic i read the other day called "4 Things Pepper Knows About Tony". I thought it would be cute to do one about Cosmo. Most people don't realize it, but i think Cosmo is a very complex character and Wanda would be the one (if not only) person he would confide all of these things in.
4 Things Wanda Knows About Cosmo
Cosmo is a hopeless romantic. He had been ever since they were teenagers and they first started dating. He would always constantly kiss her and whisper I love you in her ears. He buys her flowers and her favorite chocolates and the most beautiful jewelry whenever he could. He showers her in affection. Cosmo wouldn't mind spending the entire day in their bed cuddling with her, no sex, just laying with her in his arms for the entire day with no interruptions. Although, of course he was still a man and he loved having sex with her. When they made love he was so sweet and passionate and made it clear to her how much he loved her. Sometimes, he didn't show it, but she could just see the hearts in his eyes. No matter what he did, he'd kiss her and buy her something nice and tell her just how much he loved her to make up for it.
Cosmo wanted to be a better father than his own father. His father had been a drinker. He'd left Cosmo and his mother when Cosmo was only 6 years old. Sometimes he became worried that he would turn into his father. He'd hurt her and Poof and not give Poof the male role model he needed. Sometimes he made mistakes. But then Poof would fly back over to him wanting his daddy to play with him and read him stories. She knew that Cosmo would never be like his father. As far as she was concerned, Cosmo was the most loving kind-hearted father she'd ever known.
Cosmo loved the stars. He was named after the stars. The first fairies were born from the stars millions of millions of years ago and it always made him feel a little special to have the name Cosmo. One of his favorite past times was laying on the ground at night and watching the stars, maybe seeing a shooting star or two. When they had god children, he'd often go outside at night when the kid was asleep and sit up on the roof and look at them. They always brought him some kind of peace and relaxation, especially after a day of screwing up and feeling incompetent. And of course he always liked to have company when he looked at him and she was always that person.
Cosmo was prone to mistakes. This was common knowledge to most people. When he was a kid they thought his wand was glitched and gave him a new one but found out it wasn't the wand that was the problem. Going to the Fairy Academy at 11 somewhat helped. But it didn't stop him from sinking the city of Atlantis, or constantly causing things to blow up in school, or accidently creating the giant three headed dragon in the Bermuda Triangle. He always did wrong things when god children granted wishes and she ended up having to fix his messes. He didn't mean to do these things. He tried hard to do things right. He didn't mean to be so stupid all the time. His mind just worked differently than everyone else's. Sometimes he really did feel incompetent. Like he wasn't good enough to be a fairy god father or her husband. But then he'd do something right. He'd make a kid laugh. He'd do something that benefitted everyone. And when those things happened, he'd realize he isn't as stupid as he thought he was. As long as he can make everyone else smile.
