This is a story I had to do for school. I decided to upload it. Hope y'all enjoy!
The Pet Store
I was just finishing looking at all the animals at Sue's Pet Store. I was walking out when I heard someone call me. I frantically searched for the person. Well, I thought it was a person.
"I'm behind this clear twoleg thing, mousebrain! I'm a cat." The voice hissed frustratedly.
I turned around and saw a tall ginger tabby staring at me. "Oh."
I waddled closer and listened to the cat.
She took a deep breath and began her story: "My name is Squirrelflight and I was born in ThunderClan-"
"You don't need to tell me who you are and where you came from; I already know all of that. You went on a big journey with Bramblestar, Tawnypelt, Crowfeather, Stormfur, and Feathertail. She died. You nursed Leafpool's kits and loved them as your own. Then, there was the Great Battle in which Hollyleaf was killed by Hawkfrost. You gave birth to Sparknose and Alderfur. But, my question is, how did you get here?" I gestured to rest of the pet shop.
Squirrelflight sighed and continued. "Well, I was on border patrol with Cherryfall and Sparknose. Sparknose scented twolegs and we dove for the bushes. My stomach was quite heavy with kits, so I didn't get there in time. I saw fat, pink, hairless paws reaching out to me and my daughter screamed. I tried to claw my way out, but the paws were too thick."
Gloves, you thought.
"Another twoleg came from the side," the ginger tabby mewed, "and a sharp pain erupted from my head. Everything went black."
I frowned with disapproval. Humans could be so cruel sometimes. "You came here after, I presume?"
Squirrelflight sighed again. "Yes. And I got put with this obnoxious kit, Fluff." She gestured at a long-haired gray tom beside her.
We talked for a while longer until I got pulled into buying her. After I took her home, I set her free back in ThunderClan territory.
"Tell no one about me." I said.
Squirrelflight just nodded and raced away into the trees. Soon I heard yowls of happiness.
