Rain

That is what eases pain. It washes you. And all the wrong-doings you've done. No one understands the pain, no one at all. Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone is willing to forgive.

Wasn't it a clear, cool evening to begin with? Since when the clouds gather or the sky darkens, the temperature seemed to have gone down a few degrees as well.

Rain is water. Water is a healing element. It is supposed to help with recovering. It heals; leaving ugly, long scars that revives painful memories.

Being a prodigy is hard, and what is expected of you makes it harder. No one ever notices the flaws and the many attempts you make. Neither do anyone notice the pain you've gone through. The blood and tears shed, the many long, lonely nights spent which everyone chose to ignore, the frustrations, all bottled up.

Smiles, rarely one was real. They were facades, masks to hide from probing people.

Pain. Anger. Sadness. All these feelings that were brushed away by others. Subtle facial expressions yet strong emotions hidden underneath.

A prodigy. A genius. The very few words that made his bane of existence insufferable. He hated it. And anything that relates to that. It tortures him, mind, body and soul.

He walked down the dark, unlit pavements and alleys through the heavy, merciless rain, letting the icy, cold droplets pelt down upon him. Lightning flashes, thunder rumbled. The wind blew gently at him; it felt like daggers piercing through his pale, thin skin.

Even the frigid, cold weather was mocking him.

Useless. Unreasonably pitiful. That was how he felt.

He wanted to cry, yet no tears were willing to be formed. He wanted to scream, shout till his vocal cords broke down, yet no sound could be emitted.

His soul had been ripped and torn beyond imaginable. His mind was on the brink of insanity. A hollow, lifeless shell was all that was left of him.

His once stunning, sharp, aquamarine blue eyes were replaced with dull, hopeless ones.

So tired, so lost in this crazy place. He needed a release, an escape from this dreadful, caged-up world that he was unwanted in. Unknowingly, his feet led him to a high and steep cliff. Below was a raging sea looking as though it was threatening to swallow him up. Suicidal, how ironic.

His eyelids fluttered and closed slowly, letting himself fall backwards with a peaceful, farewell smile.

My first attempt on angst. Yeah, guess who? Yup. Fuji Syusuke. To me this is a sad happy kind of ending. What do you think? But I don't know what will push him to this kind of limit. Abuse? Lost of parents and brother? Disease? Stress? Saa...who knows... Anyway, spare me a review at least, kay?
