Just a little tribute to my two favorite characters of the series. Enjoy
Ice and Penguins
The Ice King sighed as he watched his penguins out in the snow—waddling around as penguins do.
Why was he so lonely? So lonely to let it be that his only friends were penguins. He was just like every other king. Sure he may be blue, and a little selfish at times but what difference did that make? Maybe it was because he kidnaps princesses but he never actually harms them. He never understood why Finn and Jake come to ruin everything. The Ice King just wanted more friends and even, perhaps, a fiancé.
Ice King sighed once more as he flew out of his castle. Why was he so unhappy? Every day he saw everyone else being happy. Why can't he be happy as well?
Perhaps he was just destined to be lonely and unhappy. Perhaps he was just destined to only have penguins as friends. But there was still the tiny spark of hope that he still had the chance.
But why him? It could have been anyone but why him? Why was he the one with all the troubles? Why was Finn the lucky one? Everything just seemed so unfair.
It seemed that the only living things that didn't dislike the Ice King are his penguins. He loved them, yes. They were his comfort and his pets but they weren't princesses. The Ice King wanted princesses.
Princesses were just so charming and pretty (not all of them though). There was something about princesses that made his heart leap.
Nobody understood his unusual desire though. Nobody understood anything about him. The Ice King was just another evil bug in the Land of Ooo. Why would anyone even want to understand?
Ice King was so lost in his deep psychological thoughts that he almost didn't notice the tiny object that seemed to be hurling straight at him. He squinted. Was it a tiny bullet? No, it didn't seem so. It seemed to be making a sound. Something that resembled a quack. The Ice King looked closer and then, in an instant he realized what it was. Before it could fly any farther, the Ice King caught it with his left hand and said,
"Gunter, who told you, you could fly?"
