He walked into his apartment and carelessly threw his jacket on the already messy couch. Walking over to his answering machine he flipped the Play button, then walked to the fridge to get a beer.

"Reno, it's Elena. You haven't arrived at work in two days. What's going on? Are you alright?"Beep.

He took a swig of his beer and leaned against the counter and started counting the holes in the ceiling.

"Listen here Reno, it's bad enough that you don't show up for work two days in a row, but when Ms. Lockhart calls me saying that she hasn't seen you either, it's a bit unnerving. Call me back." Beep

Tseng sounded too uptight, he mused to himself. And so what if he didn't go to work for a few days. It's not like the Planet's gonna end.

"Hey, it's me," His eyes focused on the machine from hearing her voice.

"I don't know what sort of haywire mentality drove me to call you, but I guess... Look, don't think just because I'm calling you means I forgive you. I really don't give a shit! But don't tell me that you're ready to move forward with me and then blow it back in my face. Just... just think about that, and when your ready to apologize, I might be willing to hear it." Beep.

He sighed and rubbed his face with his hand. Now he was going to have to have a reason why he did that. He did have one, but getting drunk and doing something you shouldn't have wasn't a good one.

"Hey Reno, It's Cindi. I had a lot of fun the other night, I was thinking we could do it again. Maybe even more than once. I'll be waiting for your call." Beep.

Sighing once again, he moved to the couch, sat down and picked up the phone. Apologies were hard, but he was willing to overcome the difficulty.

"...Hello?"

"Yuffie. It's me, Reno."
