Chapter 1
In the Meji Era, in the city of Tokyo, in the dead of night, there is a scream of pain then silence. The only sound is the sound of sandals walking away from the ally where the scream came from.
In the morning things at the Kamiya Kasshin Ryu dojo were normal. Yahiko and Kaoru were fighting again. Sano went gambling, and Kenshin was dong the laundry. When Sano came back Megumi was with him, and like always, she teased Kaoru through Kenshin, mostly the "Sir Ken" thing. After awhile Megumi left to the relief of Kenshin who had been trying to keep Megumi and Kaoru out of a fight.
"Let's go to the Akobeco already." Yahiko said putting away the brokken Kaoru let him practice with.
"Yea, and Missy's buying." Sano said
"Why am I always the one paying?"
"Cause you're the one with the money."
"You two should stop fighting that you should. Yahiko has already left that he has." Kenshin interrupts. Then they followed Yahiko to eat.
When they got there they noticed something right away. There were two new waitresses. One was tall with strait black hair and was wearing the Akobeco uniform. The other was short, around Kenshin's height, with black hair that when she walked under any source of light appeared to turn a brownish red color, but the thing that stood out from her the most was her amber eyes, but her eyes were closed most of the time. Then Tae walked up to the group.
"Nice to see you again. Four I guess. This way." Then she led them to a table near the back.
"I guess you noticed Sayo and Mizu. They started here just yesterday."
"Just how old are they Tae?" Kaoru asked.
"Well, Mizu is fourteen and her sister is sixteen." Then a man about Kaoru's height and a man Sano's height came in.
"Bye Miss. Tae!" Mizu said leaving with the two men. The taller one of the two walked over to Sayo and gave her a piece of paper and whispered something in her ear. She just nodded and went back to work.
"Bye Mizu." Sayo muttered as her sister left.
Kenshin and the group finished their dinner and left. When they got back everyone went to sleep except Kenshin. He was thinking. But sleep eventually took over his thoughts and eventually him.
Elsewhere Sayo and the rest of the Hisoka clan were leaving their safe house for a mission.
"Who is it tonight Sayo?" a girl around nineteen asked the amber eyed swordswoman.
"Another imperialist." Sayo replied. Then a girl around sixteen spoke up.
"Mina, you know Koji has something against imperialist."
"It's rumored that there are the most in this city."
"What did they change the name to again?" the one named Mina asked.
"Tokyo." Sayo answered.
"Are there any more of us tonight?"
"No, it's only our squad tonight Yone."
"We get a break then." Yone said.
"Yes, but we have to do our job."
"After this who wants a drink?"
"Almost all of us. Do you need to ask?"
"I guess I don't." Then they walked to where their mission was.
