Hello Everyone. This is a fic about the journey of Merlin bringing Arthur back to life. It's the first proper story I have written on my own, so please go soft on me, but all reviews and words of wisdom are welcome. Please enjoy! :) Thanks Guys
Merlin stared out at the body of water that lay before him. The boat which King Arthur's body reside in was floating further and further away. Merlin took a deep breath in, and then let the air out slowly, while he let his eyes glow gold. The area of the boat that surrounded Arthur began to glow alight with fire.
Deep down Merlin knew that this was wrong, and that his friend's, his best friend's, time was not yet finished. And as a king, his reign was not yet over. He let himself breathe slowly and arrange his thoughts. If Merlin knew anything about the mixing of life and magic, it was that it shouldn't be done. But surely for a king, the rules could be bent.
Merlin threw himself into the water and pushed himself in to a swim. He pulled his body through the water with one hand, and used his other to guide magic toward Arthur. Once again, his eyes glew. The fire around Arthur was blown out by the sudden gust of wind that Merlin had conjured. He continued to hold his hand up towards Arthur, focusing his mind on the boat, and dragging it back towards him.
The boat hit into Merlin's hand, splashing him in the face with water. He turned around and dragged the boat and himself to land. When they arrived to land, Merlin lifted Arthur up and brought him into a hug, crying and apologising under his breath. He moved Arthur from in his arms to over his shoulder, so he could, with difficulty, carry him back to the horse and carriage, which originally brought them there, in order to make there way back to Camelot.

Merlin placed Arthur in the patient's bed inside Merlin and Gaius' chambers. Gwen walked into the room, after hearing talk of Merlin carrying the king into Camelot, stumbling over her feet at the sight of Arthur.
"Gaius" Merlin yelled towards the exit of the room, "Gwen, hello."
"Merlin, what are you doing?" Gwen whispered, running towards Merlin to put her arms around him.
"I just.. I couldn't do it. I. He's my best friend Gwen" Merlin whispered, allowing Gwen to hug him. "I need to bring him back, he isn't done yet. I'm sure of it." Gwen shuck her head into Merlin's neck.
"Merlin. You know you can't use magic for the power between life and death" Gaius sighed as he walked into the room. He was shocked about the situation, shocked about a dead king in his chambers, but not surprised. He had expected this from Merlin.
"Gaius, I know there is a spell for this, and I know you know one, or at least how to find one" Merlin climbed on to his feet, striding his way towards Gaius. "His time isn't over, he can do more for Camelot.. for everyone."
"Merlin, I can't tell you what you can and can't do, I have never been able to. Probably because you don't listen. Nevertheless, if I give you what you want, you do this at your own peril." Merlin pulled Gaius in to hug, holding on for a little too long.
