North Matthews: Attorney of Time

Chapter 1: Anniversary Tears

I walked outside, this day as I turned 18, this day wasn't a day of celebration as much as it was a time of mourning for me. My entire family died today, due to a maniac who escaped prison and he killed my family before he got caught by the police. I walked, until I reached the graveyard. The graveyard, the place my brother and I would always play at. We would run around and trip each other and now, those times are gone.

My mother was a compassionate woman, caring for others and always about everyone else before herself. My dad was a very busy man, a special kind of guy. He would often stop working to play with My brother and I. And our mom would sometimes record us doing that. I still have the videos, so if I ever want to watch them, I can. And now, although they are gone, they still live within me. I still have these tears every year, on this exact day. And I always cry my fullest, as I have always been cold all year. The people see me as a demon, a devil in disguise as a human.

I never try to be that way. But I can't be normal, I never cry in front of others. I am a person who is a demon. And if I do cry, it's only in happy times. In the darkest of my hours, I will never cry tears of sadness. Not in front of anyone that I know. Nobody can know how I truly feel. Not anymore I can't let people take advantage of me. They always do and they always find a way.

I pulled out my phone after some time. I called a number and someone picked up. "Wright Anything Agency, what do you need?" The voice that came was cheerful. "Are there any jobs for an attorney?" I asked with a grin on my face.

1 day later…..

I walked into the Wright Anything Agency, with my hot chocolate in my and and the mountains of paperwork in my hands. I found my desk and sat down. After that, I worked for hours on hours of paperwork. "WHEN DOES THIS EVER END!" I yelled, throwing the papers up in the air. I sighed and walked outside for a few minutes. Then I scribbled something on a piece of paper and walked off, into the graveyard again. Hopefully, they don't see me now. and if they do, I don't care. I sobbed, falling down. "WHY AREN'T YOU HERE FOR ME WHEN I NEED YOU THE MOST!" I Yelled, my anger exploding. "I NEED YOU, AND WHERE ARE YOU?! YOUR DEAD, PATHETIC AND LOST!" After that, I calmly walked back to the office. My hot chocolate tasted like crap and I threw it away. I made some coffee when someone arrived, bloody and cut. "Oh my god, are you ok?!" I yelled, rushing over to the person. I saw someone coming up the steps and I pulled the person out of the line of the sight of this other person.

The man saw me first and thrust at me. I grabbed the hilt of the blade and flipped the man over and I took the blade straight out of his hand. Just ten, my watch vibrated. I kicked the man outside, locked the door, and kept the blade.

Time had completely stopped. Everything but myself and a moon was frozen. I felt my spine tingle. Something was wrong. My watch clock didn't stop moving and it in fact said to me, "Welcome, Master. Are you wanting to disable this?" "YES!" I shouted, just as time returned to the normal pace, my watch returning to normal.
