He knew he was running but didn't know what he was running from. But damn it was right behind him so he had to keep moving. Terror... this had to be what terror was, what people felt when something was right behind them and they knew they were going to die

Wheeeyeee…

What the bloody fucking Hell was that? He hurdled over fences and weaved between trees he had to keep moving or it would get him. The hairs on the back of his neck rose as the slithery voice came back

Haaaaaarrr…

It was getting closer; he felt his heart beating rythms on his ribs and knew that whatever was chasing him was forcing his heart to do such. And whatever it was he could hear it but didn't know where it was coming from.

Euyuuuu…

A root suddenly ripped itself from the ground and smacked his ankle, he stumbled but caught himself on a tree and kept running.

Saaaaleeeeeeheeeeepiiiingah…?

Tree branches began slapping him in the face and he heard screaming.

Wakethefuckupwakethefuckupwakethefuckup!

He sucked in air as if he'd been submerged in water almost till death and then finally allowed air. He sat there, eyes wide, breath ragged, and coherent thought coming and going like the ebb of a tide.

"What the fuck happened!" He asked after realizing his sister was there. Then all at once things began surging upon him. Blood and he was half buried in sand. Oh there was more but those were all that mattered. All that had ever mattered really.

"You passed out." Temari said rocking back on her feet. She was crouched on his right and had red marks across her face, neck, arms and legs that he immediately recognized as sand burns. "A little blood shed but nobody died." Her voice was…cheerful? Then something clicked in his head.

"I was asleep?" She nodded biting her bottom lip. He rubbed his forehead and sat there for a moment, dazed. Slowly he shook his head and tried to stand. His first attempt ended with him falling back to the ground with a soft 'wump'. So when Temari offered him her hand he took it and was quite surprised when she didn't flinch upon contact with him. Then putting his arm around her shoulder they were on the move again.

So I was asleep…real sleep. And I dreamed…a real dream...

I don't ever want to sleep again.
