"It's not so bad, right?"

Connie asked to the tombstone erected in front of him. Like the usual, Connie would eat lunch in front of this particular tombstone.

He brought a plate of potatoes (his best friend's favorites), and a bowl of chicken soup. He brought something for himself, too. A pocketful of dried fruits, stored in his jacket's pocket. He also a spoon and a fork, for his best friend; since he'd be eating dried fruits (which obviously didn't require forks or spoons to be eaten).

He sat in front of the tombstone, with the food he brought set out between him and the tombstone. Connie put the spoon and the fork on the bowl, becausehe knew his best friend liked to eat potatoes without spoons or forks.

He ate in front of the tombstone, like he was sharing a meal with a friend. He joked, told whoever he was talking to about what happened, and laughed. Like he was talking with an actual person.

"Hey, Sasha.", Connie finally said, after munching on another handful of dried fruits. "I managed to pull a prank on Jean yesterday.", he chuckled. "Oh man, you should've seen his face!", Connie laughed out loud, smacking his own knee with one hand."You should've seen him! He was so terrified like-", he stopped midsentence. The laugh he heard before seemed to disappear all of the sudden.

It was dead silent. Nothing made a sound except for him and the wind blowing on the grass.

He tilted his head upwards, looking at the bright - blue sky.

A part of him realized that all of this was pointless. Dude, stop it., that part of him would've said, It's useless. You're wasting your time, and none of this is going to bring her back.

But another part of him, however, insisted on him doing it. Just keep doing it!, that part of him would've said, Don't you want to cherish her memories?

He looked back at the tombstone, tears began to form on the corner of his eyes. "It was fun and all, but-", he closed his eyes, feeling it hurt a little."- but it wasn't as fun as it was, with you!", he yelled out, plunging his fists onto earth, cursing his fate. And at the same time, tears began to roll down to his cheeks, before falling on to the grass.

"Sasha, Sasha-", he sobbed,"Please, come back!", his hands were on the sides of the tombstone, trying to shake it angrily, cheeks wet with tears; food, plates, spoon, and fork scrambled on the ground.

"Come back!"
