Rock and Roll Love Coaster
It was a normal day at the School of Rock. Summer was busy talking on the phone to book gigs and such. Everyone else was just talking and waiting for Dewey to come for rehearsal.
"Dude, where is Dewey?" Freddy asked Zack.
"I don't know man, but he better hurry up. Practice is almost over." Zack answered.
This resulted in a whole bunch of complaints, and more conversation. It was when this conversation was at its loudest, that Dewey came in.
"Hey guys! I have a surprise for you!" He shouted. Everyone stopped talking. Well, besides Freddy.
"What is it?" He asked coolly.
"Well, it's Zinny!" He said motioning to the door.
"What's a Zinny?" Summer asked, finally hanging up the phone. Then, the door opened and a girl wearing all black came in.
"I'm Zinny." She said flipping her almost black hair over her shoulder.
"Who is she?" Katie asked.
"Zinny! She is our new lead singer." Dewey said smiling as Zinny strode up beside him.
Everyone was silent. Zinny reached to brush her bangs that swept to the side, away from her right eye.
"Okay. So, let's start practice!" Dewey said in his cheerful voice as he picked up his guitar.
"We don't need another singer." Summer stated. Zinny shot a look at her, and went to the microphone.
"Nobody asked you, princess." Zinny said smirking. She looked at Dewey and he started playing. Zinny sang, and everyone watched her in awe. Because Zinny wasn't just good, she was VERY good. Even better than their current lead singer, and I don't mean Dewey.
Soon, everyone joined in and they had rehearsal like they usually would.
Then, when it was over everyone came to introduce themselves to Zinny.
"Hey, I'm Zack. I play guitar…" He said shyly and Zinny smiled.
"So do I."
"Really? Cool, maybe we can jam sometime." He said and Zinny nodded. Zinny got along with most of them. The only one she didn't like was Summer.
"Hi, I'm Summer, the manager." She said and Zinny smirked.
"Interesting name, but I think Princess suits you better."
"Well, gothic freak suits you better than Zinny." Summer retorted.
"Actually, no, but whatever you say, Princess." Zinny said smiling. Summer stormed towards Katie and whispered in her ear. They became in intense conversations about Zinny.
"Don't mind her. She's just a little freaked." Freddy said coming up behind Zinny.
"I don't actually, but thanks."
"Your welcome. So, I heard you singing and you rock!" Freddy said and Zinny blushed.
"Well, I love it. And besides, I heard you drumming and you were awesome!" Zinny said and Freddy smirked.
"Well, I am pretty good aren't I?" He said and Zinny laughed.
"Yeah! Well, anyway, ouch! Man those looks are KILLING me." Zinny said pointing to Summer and Katie.
"Geez! You better watch out Zinny!" Freddy said and playfully pushed her.
"Pfft….i just hope they don't turn the whole band against me." Zinny said and pushed him back.
"Eh…they'll come around eventually."
"Hopefully…well I gotta run so bye!" Zinny said and smiled at him.
"Kay bye."
"Practice tomorrow at 5! Don't be late!" Summer yelled across the room.
"Great, see ya later Princess. Bye, everyone!" Zinny said and walked out the door. Freddy watched her go and thought that maybe his life wouldn't be so bad with Zinny in it. The bad part was, Zack thought the same thing.
