So um, Hi Internet.

This is a short teaser of my new story 'Supernatural Significance'. I'm actually really proud with what I've written so far, which is only the Prologue and a sentence of the first chapter but I couldn't help myself. When you're proud of something you naturally want to show people the thing that your proud of. So below is a short summary of the story then below that, is a short exert of the prologue.

Summary: There's a new girl in town called Ava Bray, Well, if you don't count the fact that she was raised in Beacon Hills until the age of 5. All while trying to fit into her new-ish school, She's trying to answer the age old question of being a teenager; Who am I? So with that in mind and frequently finding herself in the woods at night, will she find out whats going on? And whats with those strange glowing gold eyes?

Okay, please enjoy!

Ava completely forgot about the creature behind the tree trunk and focused her attention on whatever it was that was in front of her. The – whatever it was – crawled towards her, at a painstakingly slow pace. It was still lurking in the shadows, as if it was teasing her, daring her to walk closer. If that's what its intentions were, it was working. She was a naturally curious soul, which almost always seemed to get her into trouble. Yet that didn't stop her. It didn't but it should have. Ava began to move, one foot after another, slowly moving forward towards the beckoning creature. The grass crunched under her feet, but her attention was transfixed to the silhouette. As she moved ever so slowly, two shining gold dots became apparent on the darkened figure. Ava stopped mid stride and stared. They seemed to blink, like eyes…

Almost as fast as lightening, another shadowed figure leaped from the darkness, tackling the humanoid Ava was staring at. Just as quick as it appeared, the figure disappeared, taking the gold glowing – eyed figure with it. She let out a sigh in relief and realised that she had been holding her breath. Ava collapsed on the grass in exhaustion as the adrenaline slowly died down in her body and she grasped the fact that it was probably midnight. Her breathing slowed down to a normal pace. Her mind slowly shut itself down and she succumbed to the welcoming embrace of darkness.

So, with that finished, I can get back to writing. Thanks for putting up with me
