The sun was setting; Chibiusa and Hotaru were walking home together after seeing a movie. Dark clouds were approaching and it looked as though it would start to rain soon.
"It is starting to get dark Hotaru-chan, maybe we should get a bus instead."
"It's ok, we should be home before the rain gets here." Hotaru replied in an affectionate tone.
They continued to walk home, with Chibiusa leaning against Hotaru's side.
As they walk past an outdoor café, rain starts to poor down.
"This rain is way too heavy to walk through Chibiusa, lets go and have something to eat while we wait for it to die down"
The pink haired girl agreed, and they sat down and read the menus to decide what they would have to eat.
As they were deciding, Hotaru found herself staring into Chibiusa's beautiful red eyes.
"Chibiusa-chan, there is something that I have been meaning to tell you…"
"What is it Hotaru-chan?" replied Chibiusa inquisitively.
Before Hotaru could answer, there was the sound of screeching tyres followed by a car sliding out of control heading in their direction.
Hotaru pushed Chibiusa down to the ground to try to get her out of the way of the car. Unfortunately, the car hit the wall of the café, causing it to partially collapse, causing shards of glass and pieces of brick to fall to the pavement.
When everything had stopped falling, Hotaru tried to stand up so she could find Chibiusa. Unfortunately, her legs had been badly scraped up when the car crashed, and her eyes had been filled with shards of glass, so she could only call out for Chibiusa, and crawl towards her voice.
"Hotaru-chan, my legs, they hurt so badly" said Chibiusa.
Hotaru, having reached where Chibiusa was lying down, grabbed her hand and held on to it firmly.
"Chibiusa-chan, just hold my hand and squeeze it if you are in any pain."
For Hotaru, the reason she was squeezing Chibiusa's hand so tightly is that her eyes had been severely cut by the shards of glass, and she could barely see.
"I have to open my eyes, because if I do go blind, I want the last thing I see to be the my darling Chibiusa-chan"
Hotaru, despite the pain that it caused, managed to open her eyes, and stared into Chibiusa's eyes. She continued to do so until the ambulances arrived and took them to the hospital.
Author's note: the next chapters will be done in FPPOV of specific characters, mostly Chibiusa and Hotaru, with the possibility of some others if I feel I can get the Characterization right.
