Ten Years Later

I really enjoy this show and I've never done anything public for the show, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Tell me how I did. Anyway, due to recent events, Kagome has started thinking about InuYasha since she left ten years ago. Look forward to a sequel.

Ten Years Later Part I

The Voice

It's nearly dark when Kagome reaches the shrine. It has been ten whole years since she left InuYasha and the rest of her friends in the Feudal Ages. She hasn't really thought much of them since then, up until recently when she was clearing ivy away from the buildings of the shrine and uncovered the Well. She looked down into it for what seemed like hours before going back inside. This was a few weeks ago. Every night since, she has had dreams of InuYasha.

Kagome goes inside her house and throws her stuff onto the couch. She goes upstairs and showers. The water makes her think of the rain. InuYasha enjoyed rain when it wasn't cold. She turned off the water and dried off. After she slipped into her robe, she went down the stairs to watch television. She sat down and found the remote. As she lifted it up to turn on the T.V., she stopped. All she could think about was InuYasha and what he used to say about the television. "What a strange box…" Kagome puts the remote down and decides to go to bed. She tucks herself in and begins to doze off. "KAGOME!" a familiar voice calls out. "Kagome…….."

Ten Years Later Part II

The Well

"KAGOME!" a familiar voice calls out. "Kagome…" Kagome bolted upright. "InuYasha…" she whispered. She suddenly felt a need to see him. She felt she couldn't go on without seeing him again. She felt that the voice she heard was actually InuYasha and that he was calling for her. She did not just feel it, she almost knew it.

The next morning she got out of bed. She did not sleep the night before. As she left for work, she passed the Well. She stopped and walked over to it. For a while she looked at it. Just looked. It seemed like an eternity before she stood up and left.

All the rest of that day, Kagome could do nothing but think of InuYasha. How he was so strong. And how he did everything to protect her. And how safe she felt around him. Work went by fast. Almost running, she made her way home. She ran into the house and tossed her things onto the couch. She ran up the stairs and quickly changed into her old school girl uniform. She went into her lock box and took out her bow and arrow. Kagome ran down the stairs and into the rain outside. She guided her way to the Well and prepared to go back to the Feudal Ages. Back to InuYasha……
