CHAPTER ONE

A Deal With President Razard

It has been a year since Mac and Frankie had won the games snow was on the ground, Frankie was outside away from all the friends back at the house after the games she had been running off to be alone lately, Frankie heard russteling in the bushes she turned pointing her bow and arrow at the sound and saw it was only Mac. "Wow, easy, the friends back at Foster's said you be here." "Oh Mac it's just you. Come on let's head back to Foster's it's cold out here. Have you had anything to eat?" Frankie asked trying hard to hide that the games still haunted her, her and Mac never talked about the games and they kept avoiding each other all the friends could tell what was going on but they couldn't say anything under Mr. Heriman's rule. "I'm good Frankie thank you but however my family and I have been watning some soda's and cake you guys got any?" "Why sure Mac, but hey aren't you and your family living in the Victor's village in a better home?" "Oh we uh decided to stay back at our place for the winter it gets cozy in our apartment and our bedrooms are so warm inside." "Oh ok but what about food?" "We don't have much the Capital won't give us much." Mac was lying they never got a new home or more food by the Capital because he wasn't suppose to win the President ordered that they don't get any kind of reward since Frankie stood him up on the games the year before.

Frankie could sense he was lying but she couldn't call him on it so she decided to leave the matter alone and just move on. As the two headed back to Foster's they were stopped by a couple of kids who asked them for their autographs they both signed them, when the two came in to Foster's Madam Foster asked them a question. "Hello darlings, did you two have a good walk? "Walk we were just…" Frankie was cut off by Mr. Heriman who said, "We have visitors." In his office was President Razard. "Mrs. Foster, I've been waiting for you." Mac looked at Frankie, who gave him an I don't know look, Mac walked out of Foster's he was heading back to where he used to live there were some things that he had left behind and if they weren't destroyed he wanted to get them. Frankie walked into the office taking a seat facing Razard. "So brave so courageous, so rebellious." Razard said "President Razard, what an honor." Frankie said with sarcasm. "I wish I could say the same Mrs. Foster."
