Maka slowly made her way to Crona's room in the depths of the DWMA. Something's been eating at him lately... she thought to herself. Closing in on the door, she knocked twice as usual.

"Crona, its Maka." she said in her usual upbeat tone. No reply came. "I'm coming in now." Maka opened the door only to find Crona huddled in the corner, clutching a pillow to his chest. "Hey" Maka said. Crona looked up at her, tears streaking his face. Maka sat down next to him, wiping away his tears. "What's the matter?"

You know it's the best I've seen

I'd never tell you that I don't mean a thing

I know it's the worst you've felt

You have every right to keep it to yourself

"I just don't know what to do! Lady Medusa, she's my mom. I- I- I love her. I can't kill her. But Maka, I- I think I love you more."

Caught in a game of war

Traded your heart for a hand better than before

"Crona, you c-"

"I'm sorry Maka! I let you down. I let her get to me. I'm so sorry! I just don't know how to deal with this!" Crona exclaimed, more tears bursting from his eyes and flowing down his cheeks.

Say I let you down

Ooh, you pushed me out

I let you win

I let you win

Maka got up off the floor and left after Crona was all cried out. A day passed and Maka didn't return to Crona's cell. Maka, where are you? Crona thought. I really need you...

I'm dancing alone today
I can hear a waltz think it's calling out your name
it's saying I need you so
but please don't you say, don't you say

Crona got his things packed and ready. This was it. He was leaving the academy for good. Lady Medusa had too much control over him. He couldn't keep putting Maka at risk. He only looked back at the city once. I'm sorry Maka. I let you down.

I let you down
but you, you pushed me out
I, I let you win
I let you win
