"Gold Roger Executed At Logue Town, World Celebrates," announced newspapers across all seas. From the streets and taverns came the sounds of merrymaking, accompanied by music, the clink of mugs as men toasted their ale, and riotous song. Those who had admired Roger took up arms, built ships, and stole them too, cheering, for the age of piracy was creeping upon the world with the dawn.
Hidden away, one woman folded her newspaper and set it aside. Fireworks exploded outside her window, casting an array of colors onto the hardwood floor, her face, and her hair.
She placed one hand on her belly and one over her eyes.
On a little island in South Blue, one woman's cries drowned amidst the roar of celebration that echoed throughout the world.
