A/N: This story has been stuck in my mind ever since I first watched the Death Note back in 2009. I have never posted anything before on this site because I never had access to a computer. Only a typewriter. This story is meant to be very melancholic and gloomy. This story involves my very own OC who is deaf. If you are not a fan of profanity, explicit content and ecchi writing, I advise you all not to read. I will be updating very randomly, so be sure to follow the story.

DISCLAIMER: I OWN NOTHING BELONGING TO THE DEATH NOTE EXCEPT FOR MY ORGINAL CHARACTERS. I ONLY TAKE CREDIT FOR MY OWN OCS AND MY ORGINAL STORY PLOT. ENJOY.

oooOOO~Chapter One~OOOooo…

"fifty criminals were found dead in their cells this morning. Kira has proven himself to be unremorseful even with the littlest crimes."

A female reporter speaks on a little ten inch television as a girl with long wavy light pink hair walks around in a kitchen. The girl uses a white rag to wipe down the kitchen counters in a pristine way. Warm water runs effortlessly from a faucet when she starts washing dishes. Opera music plays softly from a radio on the edge of the counter. At the table, a middle aged man is seen sitting reading a newspaper. Across from him, a woman sits, drinking coffee from a white mug while jotting down notes into a black pocketbook. Everything about the whole situation seems very dismal. The man looks as if he's stressed and the girl looking very fatigued. The man sets down the newspaper while looking up at the woman with dreary eyes filled with sadness. In a single moment of despair and dread, people are taken away without warning. The girl with the pink hair keeps washing the dishes when bullets are fired. A bullet hits the man in the middle of the forehead. Blood splatters on the wall behind him with the woman screaming at the top of her lungs.

"MARU!" The woman rises from her seat in horror while watching the man fall over to the side on the ground.

The girl keeps washing the dishes as the opera music plays. The woman behind her gets shot three times in the back when she attempts to run up to her. The water from the faucet is turned off by the girl as she dries off her hands. A man dressed in a black suit walks behind her as she kneels to her knees and opens up a cabinet. The man watches as she pours dogfood in a silver bowl then walks outside the backdoor with a fooddish full of dogfood. Sensing she isn't a threat, the mysterious man does not raise his gun at her. Before exiting the kitchen, he turns around to look at her one last time—watching as she sets down the dog bowl in front of a white husky.

…Light's P/O/V…
…~…

Japan, where rain falls heavy and the outside is filled with despair. The date is June 17th, 2020. Now at the age twenty-nine, Light stands in the freezing cold rain. His hair is wet along with the clothes he wears. He does nothing but stand still, letting the rain soak his body—numbing his face and hands. Behind him, Ryuk stands with a broad smirk across his tormented face. All Light does is stand silently while watching the sunset touch the ocean with magnificent colors. His soft brown eyes are filled with intense sadness. Loneliness. Not because he doesn't have a partner to sleep next to every night—because as Kira, he feels like he is missing something important. Immortality.

What's the point of being the God of this new ideal world if I just keep getting older…?

Every other day, he finds himself drawn to a place where only he exists in. Inside his hollow mind, he's drowned in negative thoughts. Pessimistic thoughts about death and anguish. Thoughts about darkness engulfing him. What will happen when he creates his perfect world? Death? What's the point for him to keep living when knowing that someday, he's going to be seven feet under from natural causes?

The life of Light Yagami is simple without discussion. The man lives a very dedicated and loyal life as Kira. Creating a new world until crime is fully eradicated. There's nothing unusual about the man. Just like everyone else, he lives a very normal life. Every night when he goes home to an empty house, he writes names into his death note. When he wakes up, he takes an hour-long shower and freshens up, eats breakfast then heads out to work. To him, his life seems a bit repetitious—but it's something he must fight around if he wants to achieve his goals. Still...

Why do I find myself watching the sunset occasionally…? It's marvelous…

…Margot's P/O/V…
…~…

Silence. Only silence and nothing more, nothing less, nothing else. Eyes full of wonder and chaos remain hypnotized by the exquisite sunset reaching out to the ocean. Long flowing pink hair blows in the strong uplifting winds. Pale small fragile hands tremble with despair as the silence starts to become unbearable. Margot, a sixteen year old girl stands quietly, hearing nothing but silence. What she would give to hear the waves crashing against the rocks again. Crashing against her feet with the sound of her toes burrowing into the wet sand. What she would give to hear her own cries for once before she forgets what the feeling of desolation sounds like in her darkened mind—wailing inside her head endlessly till the day she dies.

It's so beautiful… The wind is refreshing… the sand against my feet feels soothing… It makes me want to cry… I wish I had the ability to breathe underwater…

Her emerald green eyes move down to her feet to watch as waves crash around them. The soothing touch of the ocean water hitting her skin causes her lips to curve up into a faint smile. A smile that soon disappears since she still doesn't comprehend how to enjoy what she has left.

My sense of smell… The smell of the ocean breeze filling up my nostrils… The feeling of the gritty sand going in between my toes… What I would give to hear the beautiful sounds of the world for a single moment…

Her eyes look over the ocean at the majestic sunset before her—reflecting in her eyes as waves crash into rocks. Her emerald green eyes start to shimmer with the many colors of the sunset causing her to feel resentful now.

Light and Margot look up at the extraordinary sky filled with so much wonder. They both move their eyes down at the shimmering water at the same time, the both of them now yearning for something greater. The both of them wanting something so desperately.

Immortality and the ability to hear again…
