"I'm back!"

Abby looked up and saw Hoagie walking through the door carrying two large paper bags. She raised a suspicious eyebrow, knowing full-well that she sent him to the store to purchase some cleaning supplies, but before she could scold him, he placed one of the bags on the kitchen table and pulled out a box of Chewy Pellets, a pack of red licorice ropes, and take-out from the Rusty Burger. She smiled and walked over to the table to examine the bounty.

He placed the other bag, which contained the aforementioned supplies, on the floor. "I figure we're about due for a break." He said, handing her a cup of soda.

"Well, isn't that a coincidence?" She smirked. "I just unpacked the TV and the VCR/DVD player."

He laughed. "So movies then?" He asked.

"Only if I can find 'em."

"You've done a lot already." Hoagie said. "I'll look for the tapes."

Abby smiled appreciatively and he headed towards a random stack of boxes. He scanned each one, hoping to find the one marked "Tapes", but no luck; he only saw a box of dishes and the rest of the boxes were marked for the living room. He went towards another pile and saw a combination of boxes for the bathroom and even more stuff for living room, but still no tapes.

He placed his hands on his hips. They really could have parted with more stuff.

Hoagie turned back to Abby, about to make a joke about the daunting task before him, but he stopped in his tracks. A huge smile spread across his face as he watched her rummaging through the bag of food on the table. He found it cute seeing her eyes light up every time she would discover one of her favorite treats: Chocolate-covered pretzels, gummy rings, and sour taffy.

It was no secret that his new wife had a massive sweet tooth.

Remembering the task at hand, he went right back to looking. He turned to his left and saw a grouping of smaller boxes and crouched down to get a closer look. Before he began his search, he couldn't help but steal another glance at Abby.

She was nibbling on the end of a red licorice rope as she started wiping down the kitchen counters. He chuckled to himself. Even though he suggested that they take a break from unpacking, it wasn't like Abby just to sit idly by when there was something that needed to be done, even if it was for just a few minutes. He sighed as he rested his hand in his head and continued to admire her.

Abby turned back around to grab another licorice rope when she caught Hoagie gazing at her. "What?" She asked, feeling slightly self-conscious.

He blinked, snapping out of his thoughts. "Oh…uh…" He stammered, blushing furiously. "Nothing. I was just…uh…it's nothing." He quickly shifted his focus back to the boxes.

Abby smirked and walked over to him. Kneeling down, she cupped his cheek in her hand and kissed him gently on the lips. Once she backed away, he smacked his lips, savoring the taste of cherry.

"I love you too, Hoagie."
