In a flash part 5
After what felt like an eternity, Russ came hauling through the Hospital doors, followed by Ellie and Tyler. Their faces full of worry and concern.
"Mac!" Ellie yelled, and ran into the detectives arms. "Where's mom?"
Russ and Tyler made their way over to Mac.
"She was shot, she's still in surgery", he informed them. "The nurses said it was touch and go".
"She's ok though?" Tyler asked, knowing that it didn't look great for his mom.
The nurse made her way to the anticipating relatives.
"She's made it through and she's starting to wake up", the nurse smiled.
Another nurse appeared from around the corner,
"She's asking for a Mac Taylor", the other nurse stated.
Mac followed the nurses and made his way to Jo's side.
"Hey stranger", she smiled. "I guess you're my hero".
"You remember?" he asked, looking down at her pale features.
"Yes, being shot and carried away", she giggled, remembering the way Mac hurried her away from the warehouse.
"I could do with some clothes", She suggested. "I might be here for a few days".
"Any perforations?" he asked.
"Take Ellie with you, she knows what I wear", Jo smirked.
"Russ and Tyler are here too". He informed.
"I guess you'll have to send Russ in then", she replied.
Mac fetched Russ and watched as he embraced his Ex in his arms.
"Jo you ok?" Russ whispered, as he breathed in the scent of her Coconut hair.
"Yes," she smiled…
