Author's Note: And yet another drabble. I honestly don't know what's up with me lately - I have more deadlines and more work due this week than I have had in a long time and, yet, I'm sitting here at the computer typing up stories. Jeez, I wish I had been in this mood this past summer. Anyway, enjoy the drabble!

I Wanna Grow Old With You

"I wanna grow old with you."

"Come again?" Will Turner sat up, startled, and faced his friend as they sat at their favorite spot in Port Royal, a beach facing away from the harbor.

His friend, Elizabeth Swann, smiled. "You know perfectly well what I just said."

"No, I-I know I heard you, but what do you mean you wanna grow old with me?" Will stuttered as he asked.

Elizabeth giggled. "I thought that that would've been obvious." At Will's confused expression, Elizabeth explained. "I wanna marry and grow old with someone that I can trust, and someone that I love."

Will's eyebrows shot up. "You love me?"

"Of course I do, silly!" Elizabeth giggled. "I've never told you that before?"

Will shook his head.

"Oh," Elizabeth continued, "well, I do."

"I love you, too," Will confessed.

"See!" Elizabeth exclaimed. "Now we have all the more reason to grow old together!"

Will chuckled at Elizabeth's enthusiasm.

"But, seriously, Will, I really do want to." Elizabeth's face suddenly began to show more seriousness than Will had even seen on it.

"I mean," Elizabeth continued somberly, "you're the man I've always pictured myself being with; waking up next to every morning, and, eventually, dying in the arms of."

Will's eyes widened at her quiet declaration.

"And Will, do you promise me that if we're ever far apart from one another, you'll always think of and continue to love me?"

Will's nod came almost immediately. "Yes," he promised softly, "I promise."

The pair smiled as they cuddled next to each other, very content with the way their lives were going.
