Ch. 1: Only a Dream?

It had been only a week since Hitome had left the mysterious and intriguing world of Gaia, but she was already beginning to miss the foreign land of Fanelia, and Van… Over and over again she had questioned herself about whether it was fact or fiction, a dream or reality. She now lies on her side on her bed, the window on the opposite side of the room open and a gentle breeze caresses the thin fabric that she used for her curtains, musing over the past events. Her mother was confused as to why Hitome claimed to be gone for months on end, the only logical reason that she could come up with was that it was a dream. Where else, but a dream, would there be angelic beings, dragons, knights, prince and princesses? From the point on Hitome was banned from using her Tarot or her dowsing pendant, which had mysteriously disappeared, her mother deciding that that was the reason behind such a ridiculous dream. In a way Hitome was relieved, she no longer had any visions of giant mechas clashing swords, no more predicting for her classmates if they were going to go out with the guy who sits next to them. She was, in a way, free. While she was free from her visions she would often mistake people on earth or the Mystic Moon as she would sometimes slip up and say, for people back on Gaia, Amano Susumu for example. He was almost the spitting image of Alan Schezar. There were other people too; she had seen a boy from another school look like Van, a young girl that looked strikingly like the cat girl Merle, maybe that's why she had seen them on Gaia. Because there were people around her that looked exactly like them. Maybe it was a dream; her mind had seen these people and had unconsciously placed them into her vivid imagination. Hitomi gives a loud "Uggh!" in frustration as she mulls the idea over.

"They are real!" She exclaims, almost at the point of tears. She pulls her feather pillow from under her head and wraps her arms tightly around it, a few tears escaping from already parched eyes. She gives a groan of frustration and sits up and throws her pillow against the wall.

"They are real, why wont mother believe me?" she whispers. Another groan of frustration, frustration of not being able to tell anyone about her fantastical adventure with a Draconian Prince, a crazy cat girl, a stunning knight, the evils of Zaibach…All of those things. She would tell Yukari, if it didn't mean it would somehow get back to her mother, but then…her story did seem a little farfetched.
