Intro: At The Ball
The Hogwarts grounds were flourishing with life now that they made the Yule Ball an annual festivity. Harry and Cho (couple voted most likely to last) were up and dancing during the beginning fanfare. Hermione even got Victor Krum to transfer to Hogwarts to learn better English. Fred and George even had dates! Why, even Malfoy had a date with the new girl Jaylene! Far away from the commotion, sat Ron Weasley. Ron obviously felt lonesome. Hermione, the brainy fifth year and also Ron's best friend, came over and said, " Ron, why do you look so down? Everybody's having a blast and you are just sitting like a bump on a log!" Ron turned away angrily. Then Harry came with beautiful Cho. They stopped and asked Ron why he was so down. Ron burst out, fuming with rage, "what is it that everybody has a date and is having a wonderful time except me? What am I, invisible!?!"
The real Chapter 1: Ron's Find
Ron was angrily muttering to himself as he stormed down the hall to the Gryfindor common room. His cloak flapped and fluttered with every step. When he reached the common room, he found professor McGonagal (Mickey as they now called her) coming out of the girls dormitory with a new girl. Ron and Anica's eyes met and turned away all within a millisecond. " Anica, meet Ronald Weasley of Gryfindor. I'm sure you two will get better aquainted at the Yule Ball." With that, she left the room.
