My name is Kathy Reed. I was really into languages when I got my mutant abilites. I guess that's why my powers are how they are.
I got my powers when I was in Middle School. I guess I might have gotten them earlier, but I hadn't really noticed them until my Modern Language class. My powers aren't really all that great. They're nothing like the powers of other mutants. Heck, I'm basically not even a threat.
Well, anyways, my power is pretty simple. All I have to do is listen to a few sentences of a language, and then I can speak it like I've spoken it all my life, and when they reply, it's like they're talking in English. It's awesome and amazing, and it helped me get many jobs in many places, like the one I'm in now.
Currently, I work as a translater at an airport. It was hard to confess that I was a mutant, but once they saw what my abilities were, they didn't regard me as a threat. I kinda wish they had. When I was younger, I always thought that if I got any powers, they'd be like superspeed, heatblast, laser vision...Something along those lines, but nothing like this.
It's kinda saddening, but it's a good thing as well. Oh well. That's life for you.
