Hot

Light filtered in through the closed blinds, casting the studio in a dusty light. The day was hot and thick, rather identical to Jude's mood. The damn air-conditioning had broken, and the repairman was two hours late. Darius insisted the show much go on while Jude insisted that there was no show to put on at all. Not aloud. But still.

Tommy gave her a look through the thick glass of the recording booth, inclining his head to her as he sat back in his chair. Jude put her head in her hands, staring at him through her fingers.

She peeled her fingers off her face with an icky, sticking noise. "Tommy," she said in a cracking voice. "We haven't moved for three hours."

And it was true, too. They had tried to move during the first hour- to no avail. Not a one. Jude had sat in the booth with her guitar in her lap, repeatedly banging her head against it until the shape was imprinted into her forehead for the next.

"Tommy," she whined. "Tommy," she said in an entirely different tone, her eyes widening to a state of perpetual innocence.

"Tommy. Tommy," she smiled, innocence shining on her face as she stood, placing her guitar on the stool behind her and walking out of the booth, watching him smirk at her from the chair, amusement playing on his features.

"Tommmmmy," she said again, leaning forward to rest her elbows on the armrests of his chair, her face coming within inches of his.

He raised his eyebrows at her slightly. "No."

"Come on!" she insisted, using her shoulder to wipe her damp face and stepping back. "Lunch, cool air, the rehearsal pad- come on, Quincy; it's so appealing!"

"D'll have my balls on a platter, Harrison," he said, brushing his hair back with one hand and leaning back. His eyes softened.

The running recorder made a dull crackling noise in the background of the room, filling the silence.

"But we'll go?" she offered excitedly.

"The things you put me up to..." eh said, standing and rolling his eyes, checking his back pocket for his keys and walking to the door.

A/N:

Okay, so. What do you all think, eh, eh? First Instant Star fic and all. I'm planning on continuing it, and have parts of parts written already...but. Basically, I was tired of seeing uncapitalized I's and incoherent phrasing plaguing the poor fics and decided to do something about it.

Tell me what you think. :D
