"Look, Jean," Mai said and put her hands on her hips. "I can't marry you."
"Why, oh dear Mai?" Jean asked in dramatic voice.
'Cause she was too tired to duel, she lied: "Because I... already have a fiancee." She mouthed an-surely. "Yeah, he's way mightier and richer than you are." She said with self-confidence.
"And who is him?"
"He's... Well... Uuummmm..." A sweat dropped from Mai's face. She looked into Jean, but her view was more interested in a man who was walking towards them behind him. The man who was about 50 meters away from them was wearing a long white coat and Mai immediately knew who he was. And that gave her idea. "He's Seto Kaiba." She said with a sly voice. (He was coming there because that's an episode before they go to Battle City Finales, watch the episode if you won't understand something.)
"WHAT A-" Joey started, but Tea covered his mouth with her hand. Mai ran towards Jean, pushing him aside and running to Kaiba. When she reached him, she immediately grabbed his elbow and pushed him closer to her. "What a Hell are you-" Kaiba started, but Mai turned to the others who were walking towards them and shouted: "This is my fiancee!" She gave him one 'Please act and I'll do everything for you' look. And Kaiba wasn't stupid like Geek Squad and understood situation. Then he gave her one 'I'll do it. But you owe me big time' look.
The Gang and Jean-Claude ran to them. As they did, Kaiba put his strong hand around Mai's hip. Her eyes winded a bit well, she didn't see that coming. "So you are the punk who stole Mai?" Jean said with voice full of rage.
"Watch who you are calling a punk." Kaiba replied. "And if I ever again see you even looking at her, I'll swear I totally ruin you career and I'll make sure you never work in Japan again." The gang was watching him with strange expression on their faces. No one of them actually believed that he'll agree to this act.
"I don't believe that you are a couple. I never saw you on TV or magazines." Jean said.
"If she isn't my fiancee, why would I do this?" Kaiba asked, but before anyone realised what that meant, his lips already were on Mai's. Mai was also surprised, she never expected him to go this far, but if it was to get rid of this clown Jean, that was okay. She put her hands around his neck as his were on her hips. After totally too much making out in publicity, their lips finally separated. "Uumm... Delicious." Mai said and licked her lower lips, her arms still around her 'fiancee's' neck.
"Still don't believe us?" Mai asked, all she could see around her were shocked faces. "It would be so great if we had a bed now." She joked, but it looked like everyone took her seriously.
"I think I made myself clear," Kaiba said. "STAY. AWAY. FROM HER." Who would guess that he was better actor than actor he just spoke to.
"You haven't see the last of me!" Jean shouted and quickly entered in his car, he disappeared as quickly as he appeared. After they were sure he was gone, Kaiba removed his hand from Mai's hip.
"That's the weirdest thing that I've ever seen." Tristan said.
"Yeah," Tea added. "I can't believe you finally helped somebody."
"Whatever." Kaiba groaned. "But you owe me, Valentine."
"I guess that's fair. But why did you help me?" Mai asked.
Kaiba shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. Maybe because I can't stand that clown. He's even worse than Wheeler."
"Hey!" Joey complained.
"Can we just forget this happened and go back to Battle City finales?" Kaiba asked and started walking.
"No, I'm sure can not." Mai said loudly.
"Why?" Yugi asked.
"Kaiba, you can't pretend non of these happened."
"Of course I can."
"No, I knew that kiss meant something to you."
"Keep dreaming."
