It was an early September morning and the sun was just starting to emerge over the trees. It was casting a pink glow across the sky and into the room of Courtney Stacey. She was brushing her hair in the mirror as the radio played on in the background. Courtney was always up five minutes before her alarm, and ready for school ten minutes before the bus. She was a perfectionist through and through, and if something was to fall out of place and she was a minute behind, she would lose her cool pretty quickly.
Once she was satisfied with her appearance she left her room and closed the door behind her. Her parents were in the kitchen drinking coffee and eating breakfast when Courtney came down. She said nothing to them as she poured some coffee into her travel mug and grabbed her purse and school books.
"Bye guys." Courtney waved and smiled at her parents as she closed the front door behind her. She walked down the path from her front door to her driveway and waited at the end of the driveway for her bus. The first day of school this final year was going to be stressful, but if she played her cards right, would end up perfectly fine. The bus came in exactly ten minutes of Courtney standing at the end of the driveway and she smiled at the bus driver as she got on.
She marched to the back seat with her head held high and passed the greasy kids that whistled at her. Courtney sat in her seat and looked out the window. It was nice going to school in a rural area, the scenery was great. Courtney seemed a lot like a city girl, but she secretly loved growing up in the country. Her high school was located just in town but it was about a half an hour away, the bus ride made it longer.
When the bus finally got to the school, Courtney followed the motley crew off of the bus and said goodbye to the bus driver politely. She headed into the front doors of the school and headed straight for her locker. It was located on the central floor next to the office and the front doors so it was very easy to get to. She unlocked her locker and set her purse on a hook and her books on the top shelf, and then she checked to make sure her hair look alright in the mirror.
"Hey Courtney!" A girl with long blonde hair called out. "It's great to see you home again! I followed the whole show!" Courtney smiled and embraced the blonde in a hug.
"Hey Ringo!" She replied happily. "Thank-you!" They pulled out of the hug and Courtney reached into her locker for her first class books.
"When that dorky guy messed with the votes, I called and complained! No joke." Ringo continued with her mossy green eyes sparkling in the hallway lights.
"Thanks." Courtney let out a laugh. "I knew you had my back."
"Obviously." The bleach blonde smiled and crossed her arms. Suddenly her eyes got wide and her arms fell to her side. Courtney looked at her and waved a hand in front of Ringo's face. Ringo raised a pointed figure slowly in shock. "Isn't that the guy you had that fling with on the show?!" Courtney laughed.
"No way, Duncan lives all the way in-" Courtney stopped talking when she turned around. There standing in front of the office doors, reading a timetable sheet, was a teal eyed, lime green Mohawk-ed Duncan. Courtney's jaw hit the floor and her coffee dropped from her hand.
"Duncan?!" She managed.
"Eh, sweetheart!" Duncan smirked as he glanced up at her. "So I did get the right school."
Courtney fainted.

A/N: This is the first story I am writing for TDI/A. I've been wanting to for a while but I couldn't decide what I wanted to do. Finally, I've got something I thought was good enough. Let me know what you guys think so far. =)
