It was about 10:30PM. Rhoda knocked on Mary's door. She opened it. She wore her pajamas, while Rhoda wore a dress.

"Hi, Mary. I hope I didn't wake you."

"Not at all. I was just having some coffee."

"I thought I'd tell you about my date with Bernie, tonight."

"Come on it, honey! I'm all ears! Want some coffee?"

"Sure, thank you."

Rhoda sat on the couch. Mary poured a cup of coffee. She gave it to her and sat next to her.

"So, how was it?"

"Mary, it was one of the greatest first dates I've ever been on. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it an 11!"

"Wow!"

"He thinks I'm beautiful!"

"Well, you are! You just needed a guy to tell you that."

She kicked her shoes off and girlishly wiggled her toes. "He even likes my big ugly feet!"

She smiled. "And how do you know that?"

"You remember I told you we met when he saw me put the display window in, right?"

"Uh huh."

"I had taken my shoes off, while doing it. I often do that. Anyway, I told him I was a little embarrassed that I was showing off my feet. He pointed out that if I really felt that way, I shouldn't of taken my shoes off, in the first place."

"Good point!"

"True. Then he said to me, 'Rhoda, I think you have a very attractive pair of feet!'"

"That was sweet!"

"Yeah!"

They talked for a few more minutes. Then Rhoda put her shoes back on. "Well, I should be going. Thanks for being my listening board."

"Any time, Rhoda. He sounds like the perfect guy."

"He just might be. Bye, Mare."

"Bye, Rho."

They hugged and she left. Mary cleaned up and went to bed.
