I woke up at spawn for the first time ever. A noob. I see a tree in front of me. I wonder what to do. I decide to punch it and it gave me a piece of
wood! WOW! It said to open my inventory. So I do, and there was a 2x2 slot in the upper right hand corner. I will place the piece of wood in the 2x2 slot, I thought, I wonder what will happen. Then, suddenly, it said "4 wood planks." I take a break to look at the crafting recipes.
One hour later...
Now I know almost every crafting recipe in the game! This is going to be awesome! I'll make a crafting bench! And a wooden pick! And a wooden sword! An ax would be nice too. On the Minecraft wiki it said you can get cobble from digging down, and I hit a block I hadn't seen before. It looks grayish. I wonder if it's a type of wood. I mine it with my ax. It doesn't give me anything, and I am sad. I try to mine it with my sword. I was sad again. I have this great idea! I will try to mine it with my pick! So I do, and now I AM SO HAPPY! I GOT COBBLE STONE! I now have ten cobble stone! I have twenty cobble stone! I HAVE A HALF STACK OF COBBLE STONE!
I make a stone sword, a stone pick, and a stone hoe. Whoops. I meant to make a stone ax! I chop down tons of trees, and get stacks and stacks of wood. I build a house! THE BEST HOUSE EVER! I make it out of stone, wood, gravel, dirt, and a bit of sand. Then I find my first cave. Wow. It is dark. I need to head back to the house to make more torches. So I head back to the house and make more torches, and then go back to the cave. I see this weird tannish sort of block. I think, "Hey since I'm in a cave I think I'll try to mine it with my stone pick ax." I mine it, and it gives me a block called Iron. Huh. I wonder what it does. I surround it with dirt in the crafting bench and nothing happens. Then I surround it with dead bushes, and nothing happens. "Well, I figure it's useless since it doesn't have anything to do with dirt or dead bushes." I say. I throw it into the lava pit beside my house.
Ten minutes later...
Now I feel dumb. I just looked it up, and I can use Iron for tons of stuff. I can make armor, and I can make pick axes. I only wish I could make iron dead bushes. That would be the best block in the game.
