A/N: Fandom February Prompt Seven: Hunt. Characters/Pairing: Obi-Wan/Padme/Dooku, Obidala. Dark!Obi-Wan.
Obi-Wan prowled the streets in search of his prey. Ever since Obi-Wan had joined Dooku on Geonosis, Obi-Wan had done more and more morally grey things. But no one except Dooku and Obi-Wan himself knew why.
Obi-Wan had offered his services to Dooku in exchange for Padme's safety. That had been the only thing that Dooku could ever have offered that would ever have turned Obi-Wan. And he had offered it. And Obi-Wan had accepted.
The Jedi Council had not understood, and had expelled him. However, this 'injustice' allowed Dooku to further draw Obi-Wan to the dark side. And Obi-Wan was so very close now.
Obi-Wan had gone to visit Padme before departing Coruscant for Serenno. And there he saw Anakin attempt to propose to her. Padme had declined. But still, Obi-Wan burned that Anakin would have dared to ask Padme's hand in marriage, as if his mentor had not just been expelled from the Order!
It was Anakin that Obi-Wan was hunting.
Anakin, that Obi-Wan would kill.
And kill Anakin, Obi-Wan did. Anakin never knew what hit him. He was dead before he hit the ground. His own padawan, a young Togruta, screamed and rushed over to where he lay. Her name, Obi-Wan thought, was 'Ahsoka Tano' or something like that.
Obi-Wan stalked over to his speeder.
"Well done, Master Kenobi." Dooku drawled.
"Thank you, Count. I take it we will be leaving now?"
"Yes. Have you reconsidered my offer?"
Obi-Wan paused.
"I have. And I have made my decision."
Obi-Wan looked Dooku squarely in the eye.
"I would be honored to become your apprentice." He knelt.
Dooku smiled.
"I am glad. Come, there is much to do." The Count started to walk off, and then stopped. "Unless you would like to console Padme, on the loss of young Skywalker in the morning."
"As a friend, I could do no less."
Years later, the Clone War broke out. Obi-Wan, now a Sith Lord, bade his wife, Padme Amidala, goodbye.
She was pregnant with their first child.
In all, Obi-Wan's hunt had been successful.
