Our Final Moments
Taken from the last scene of Resolutions.
Paramount owns voyager. And I own my computer.
Kathryn is looking over at her tomatoes which she had planted. They had already grown quite full in the short time that they had been on the planet. Chakotay came out of the shelter and looked over at Kathryn.
"We are all ready here."
As Kathryn turned to him she thought- I should really say something to him. Chakotay was obviously thinking the same thing, because of the way he was staring at her. Kathryn swallowed. "Chakotay I just want to thank you for everything." Chakotay nodded at her.
"Two to beam up." She said.
They arrived in the transporter room, and walked silently to the turbo lift. As the door shut, Chakotay spoke. "You know why I did everything for you out there don't you Kathryn?" Kathryn blinked a few times and slowly turned to him. "Because you're thoughtful and you wanted us to be comfortable." Chakotay thought for a second. He realized that he was almost out of time. Suddenly he spoke up. "Computer stop lift." Kathryn was startled.
Chakotay put his hand over her head and leaned against the turbo lift wall. He looked down at her. "That's part of it," he said. "The other part is this" He leaned over and gave her a soft kiss on her lips. "I love you Kathryn, that's the other reason." "Computer start lift." Kathryn stood silent. When the doors to the turbo lift opened, she walked onto the bridge and sat down. Everyone welcomed her back as she began to give detailed orders. Kathryn turned slightly to Chakotay and gave him a wink. The commander looked away, and smiled.
