White Knight

My tiger blazes bright

He is not orange but white

His cobalt blue eyes seek mine

When he does not find them, he gives a whine

I come out of the shadows in all my golden furred glory

My golden scarred fur tells my story

A month ago I was almost killed

I thought my fate was sealed

I had been in a fight with an orange tiger male

Because of my fur so pale

I was losing badly

Was going to be killed, sadly

But then a tiger so white

That I knew he was my white knight

Stepped in front of my body which bled

The other male's courage seeped away and you could practically hear it shed

The white tiger growled

And the other male, the white tiger plowed

The orange male scampered away

Having no urge to stay

The white male walks over to me and lets me lean on him

I lick him to thank him on a whim

Ever since that day we have stuck together

Through whatever weather
