It was a late night in the Pride Lands. Obviously, everyone were asleep. Except for Sarabi, Sarafina, Simba and Nala. They wanted to stay up and ever since they were excited, because Nala just was the older sister of her little brother, who was named Mheetu.

''Mom, there are so many stars in the sky today.'' Nala looked up into the sky with a sparkle of wonder in her eyes. ''What are stars?''

''Come with me and your aunt Sarabi, we'll tell you all.'' Sarafina picked up her little son with her teeth, and gave a motion to Nala to follow. They all walked together to a rock what was out of the Pride Rock. Sarabi lied down, and so did Sarafina, putting her son Mheetu down beside her.

''I'll tell you, kids.'' Sarabi smiled, as Simba and Nala gathered around her. ''Something Simba's dad told him.''

Sarafina smiled and turned her head towards her son.

''Better listen, Nala, it's cool.'' Simba smiled and looked up at his mother, waiting for the story.

''Every star in the night is a great king of the past, that is looking down at us.'' Sarabi began, and the young cubs looked into the sky, Simba with happiness, and Nala with awe.

''All the time?''

''All the time.'' Sarabi said to the young lioness. ''They guide us, and look after us, so nothing bad could happen.''

''Is grandpa Ahadi up there too?'' Simba then decided to ask, and looked into the sky, and then at his mother.

''Surely. Every great king is. And your grandfather was a great king, just like your father is.'' Sarabi said, and smiled at the thought of her husband. ''One day, your father and I will join them, and then the throne is up to you.''

''Are there great queens too?'' Nala asked with curiosity.

''We can be sure, yes. Every lion who was a great leader once.''

''Like grandfather and dad?''

''Yes.''

Simba gave a look at Nala. ''I told you it'll be cool. And even more than cool. It's all true.''

''That really is amazing.'' Nala told her best friend, honestly.

''See?''

''Quit it, you!'' Nala pushed the golden cub and then the prince leaped at her, but she ended up flipping him over and pinning him, again, as always.

''Pinned ya!''

''Get off!''

Sarabi and Sarafina chuckled at their kids' actions, and little Mheetu sneezed.

''My brother is very cute, isn't he?'' Nala got off of Simba, and gave a big smile at her young brother.

''Yeah. Very cute.''

''Is something wrong, princey?'' Nala turned her head towards the golden cub with a questioning look on her face.

''Now that you have a brother, you won't be spending so much time with me again.''

''Nonsense. I'll love to hang out with you, you're my best friend.'' Nala pushed Simba a bit at his back with her paw.

''Are you sure nothing more than a best friend?''

Nala gave the golden cub another push to the back with a slight frown now.

Sarabi and Sarafina smiled at their cubs.

''You like me, say it.'' Simba smirked.

''No.''

''Come on, Nal.''

''No!''

''I'm your prince, admit it.''

''Never!''

''Nala, come on, take it further, say it!'' Simba raised his eyebrow in amusement.

''Never is never, Simba.''

''After all, we're betrothed. Remember? You can't escape it. Sooner or later, you'll fall in love with me.''

''I won't.''

''But what if you do?'' Simba winked at her. ''I'm your very best friend, am I?''

''Yes.''

''And something more than just a friend?''

''You're my prince.'' Nala gave in with a frown.

Simba smiled at her. ''Now, was it so hard to say?''

''Not quite.'' Nala gave a wink back at him. ''Just as you said, you can't escape our future!''

''Ha, yeah!''

Sarafina smiled and gave a look of gentle at her younger cub. She was glad to have him. She nuzzled her little son, and watched with a smile as her daughter played a fight with her best friend, and once to be a mate.
