A/N. Another hundred-word song-drabble, one of the few I've used the past-tense with. Oh, I love writing these things.
Disclaimer. I don't own Flight 29 Down or any of its characters, nor do I own the artist or the song.
Immobilized by the thought of you
Paralyzed by the sight of you
Hypnotized by the words you say
Not true but I believe 'em anyway
Shiver, by Maroon 5.
"I love you."
The words lingered for an instant, drawn vowels a harsh contrast to the silence that they preceded.
Lips parted as if to protest, Taylor shifted on the couch to glance at the boy who held her, who's name she had long forgotten, and tried to forget that the kisses he dropped on her neck sent shivers up her spine. Half-tempted to feign surprise and ask 'what?', she bit her tongue.
Instead, she smiled at him, sweet and shallow, clothes askew, hands tangled in his hair.
"I love you, too," she whispered, but it felt like a lie.
