Castiel wiped the blood from his mouth and looked at him again, directly into his eyes. They were so cold and empty, almost halo. They had the same bright green colour, the same dark lashes around them and little wrinkles at the corners but they weren't the same. They were shallow, obedient and heartless. Castiel imagined that this must be how his eye looked, how he looked before meeting this man. This man who stands in front of him with his grace lighting up the room.

"Dean" Castiel began yet again hoping this time he'll hear him, this time he will listen "It's not you. You are different. You are better than this" Dean barely looked at him, despise and bitterness in his voice as he talked

"Better? Do you really think being a human is better? How could you now? You aren't a human you never were one. You are just a fallen angel" he just spat the last words out and turned his gaze away from Cas, his eyes telling how much he sickens him.

"Dean" Castiel tried yet again. He wasn't going to loose him, to let him go. This is not what Dean would do. Dean would fight for him at least he thinks he would. "Dean, once you said angels don't care. But you do. You care a lot about your brother, about Bobby, even about those strangers you have saved from monsters over the years" suddenly his voice became just a shudder "you care about me." Castiel blushed – a completely new emotion to him as a human, no as fallen angel – afraid of Dean's reaction. Dean laughed loudly and you could feel the scorn in his laughter

"I care about you? You? An angel who wasn't able to do his job right? An angel who has fallen from grace? Despise is the only emotion I have towards you. Couldn't even be a proper angel, could you?" Tears formed in Castiel's eyes and he shouted standing up and walking towards Dean

"The moment I met you I didn't want to be an angel anymore. You showed me there is better than that. You showed me life!"

"And what good that life has given you?" Dean pushed Castiel away from him like even the touch of this fallen angel could corrupt him. Cas looked away his resolve fading with every bitter word coming from Dean's mouth.

"Feelings…" Dean laughed even harder "Feelings? What's so good about feelings? Oh wait! You think I have feelings for you? You mean less than nothing to me!" with these words Dean pulled an angel blade and pressed it to Cas' chest. "I could drove this blade through your heart and I wouldn't feel a damn thing" Castiel didn't say anything, he just came closer to the blade so the tip of it scraped his skin and fell on his knees.

"Do it" he looked Dean right in the eye still hoping for any sign of Dean. Of the real Dean "It's better to die than stand and look at the creature you've become" a crooked smile twisted Dean's lips and with in a second the blade pierced Cas' heart. Castiel's eyes locked on Dean's till the last drop of light gone out of them. Dean pulled out the blade wiped the blood at the trenchcoat of now dead angel and turned away. He walked away leaving the man he once loved on the ground. Angels just don't have an equipment to care.
