Chapter 1

The white snow reflected the sun through the window. It shone on the mahogany coffee table engulfed in unorganized novel drafts. Levi hadn't slept in days, his job as an author was interfering with the basic tasks that he needed to do. Levi decided to take into consideration what his therapist told him the previous week. His therapist strongly believed that Levi should take a break from working so much, even though his deadline was in a few days.

Levi put on his brown leather jacket that had caramel fur lining the trims. He swung open the door and felt a chilling breeze sweep through. He was having second thoughts about leaving his house, after all he had been doing fine so far for someone who hadn't left the house for three months, with the exception of mailing his finished novels to his publisher.

He finally convinced himself that going outside for a break wasn't such a bad idea. When Levi did get the chance (on the odd occasion) to leave the house, he'd usually go to the local park. The park was usually isolated, it was crowded with trees and had no play sets so there wasn't really any reason for people to go there.
Levi really enjoyed this fact, he would sit on the only bench in the park and take in the creative surroundings for inspiration. He really did like that bench, it was painted a pastel pink colour that Levi thought was a quite extraordinary colour for a park bench. Not to mention it was only a tiny thing, enough room for one person to sit in comfort but not enough for two without the occasional contact between them.

When Levi arrived at the park he was fairly surprised that someone was sitting in the spot that he thought was his own. He walked to far to go home now, so he decided to join the person on the little pink park bench.

A boy in his teens was reading the novel 'Skulduggery Pleasant' , a quite interesting book series about a skeleton detective who has a young girl as his companion.

Levi then noticed a pare of grey eyes set on him. He hadn't realised that he'd been starring at the boy for a while. Levi could feel his face wash over with a shade of scarlet, he instantly turned his head away to hide the obvious embarrassment oh his face. Why was he so flustered? Why was he starring at that boy for so long?

The questions rolled through his mind repeatedly until he could hear a chuckle beside him, "Hello, my name is Eren."
